I am an RV newbie. I have a 2018 Forest River Forester. I have been trying to drain my freshwater tank. I located the blue and red low-point drains underneath. I first thought that the blue one was the tank drain, but when I opened it, it drained for a minute and then stopped. I realized it was just draining the water lines, not the tank. I looked everywhere for another drain. Does anyone have any ideas.
Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to FRF.

It always helps if you provided all the information on your RV, including the model number.
That way others that own the same RV, can be more helpful, especially when asking for model-specific information(FW tank drain location).

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Motorhome section's Forester and Sunseeker sub-forum for better help from other Forester owners and possible factory support. Also because the OP is asking for model-specific information.

I have a 2016 Forester 2501TS, yours should be similar. There should be a cubby right above the area where you drained the red and blue lines. Inside the cubby on the back wall will be a hinged door. If you open it, you’ll see your water pump, water filter, and a couple of knobs on hoses. There’s a blue pex line with a T valve on it. Turn the valve to be parallel with the pex line, and that should start the water draining process from your main tank. Opening one of the hot/cold taps inside the MH (kitchen, bath, shower) should speed things up a bit.

Can you identify where approximately underneath the OP should be looking to see the fresh water tank drain line? Apparently they said they looked and could NOT see any other drain lines.

I don't have another drain line on my rig. Are you SURE there's water in the main tank? When the water pump is turned on, it pressurizes the water system and then stops running?

Rotkopf54, I found the door with the water pump and the blue line with the valve. When I turned the valve, only a small amount of water came out, and my tank is still full. I want to sanitize my water supply with bleach, so I need to be able to drain all the water out.

Have you actually located your fresh water tank?
In my rig, the tank is located under the bottom half of the bed.
It’s visible and accessible by lifting the bottom part of the bed.
I have a drain valve located alongside the tank under the bed.

Try taking drain cap off and open a cold water side faucet to relief pressure
