It was previously on sale for $123. Price dropped down to $105!

I got it online at Walmart. I thought this is going to be an open box, but it is brand new as stated.

Installed it as soon as I got it by 6pm today. This thing is huge in size compared to my GoPower 30amp! Good thing I have the room for it.

Bt range is good- at 20ft with obstructions. I am still waiting for the dongle for it so I'll have extended range.

Charge-Pro App is great!

Will tinker more to set correct parameters when there is 🌞 tomorrow.

I think it's a great deal for the low price. You just need more room for it.

This one says NEGATIVE GROUNDED. Is it really necessary to ground it?

You aren't likely old enough to know, but some cars of years back had the battery positive along with the charging generator connected to the chassis. Therefore, it was necessary to identify if the system was a negative ground or a positive ground system. It does make a difference.

I did not know that.

Geez. The description online and box indicated to be negative ground, but never mentioned it in the manual nor where to attach it. Manufacturer did not provide a negative cable. There is no where to attach such cable. Ugh.

Victron has a screw for it on the side.

Negative ground….. often just refers to the system that can use the frame metal as negative return path

If they did not add a ground screw point don’t sweat it a lot of stuff don’t

BTY 60 amps is nice to have
but you need to add more panels and probably rewire the controller to get to use any where near 60a

Your new controller should handle 800watts of panels

Ah. Good to know. That is one less thing I have to worry about.

Yeah, that's the plan. The never ending plans. Lol. A new 200w panel(800w total)to help charge the new 330Ah battery.

For the meantime, I wanted to test and series my Dokio 200w rigid portable panel with existing array on top to see how much juice I get.

Ground deploy , I get another 11+ amps hooked(pwm) to batteries via alligator clips. Total of 40+ amps with roof array when I tested early this afternoon.

Looks like a nice unit. I just checked Walmart online, but I did not see it. Only a Host 20a.

Off topic, but I had a 1960 MGA with positive ground. Gave a little problem hooking up lights for being flat towed with the normal negative ground car. The only reason I couldn't the MGA to negative ground was the tube radio that was installed - even the ignition coil worked just fine either way.

MGs had electric by Lucas (cue the Lucas jokes). My favorite is, "Why do Brits drink warm beer?" "Because Lucas makes refrigerators, too."
