HVAC Vent Leaking

Hey guys,
Our campers main vent is leaking water whenever it cuts off/reaches the set temperature. Only on the AC, not on heat. I’ve had this happen before and clean out the filters and replace them and clean the water out of the opening and check the pan on top of the camper as well. Usually cleaning the filters have helped. Today I got home and it was dripping pretty bad when the AC shut off. So I went through the cleaning routine again and reinstalled them and it’s doing it still. Pan and all is clear. Not sure how to fix this.

Check the gasket. Those tend to shrink over time. You can try to tighten the gasket and see if that will solve the issue. Otherwise you will need to replace it. You do not want to tighten it with a ton of force. You only want to snug it down. There are four very long bolts that are accessible from the inside by removing the inside cover. That is what will tighten the unit up.

If you need to replace the gasket it is pretty much universal with most being 14 X 14. However, some of the larger units use one that is bigger and I do not know the size on that one.

I had an issue where one of the Freon line insulation was split and was creating conditions which finally ran inside Rv. Only had to tape up and never had a problem after that

You need to check the inlet and outlet air or the AC unit are separated. Output air getting pulled directly to the input can cause condensation issues.

You are running the air?
Sounds like it iced up and then thaws and drips inside.
