Long story short we're the proud owners of an 06 FR Wildwood (if my VIN search was accurate). Sort of trying a new lifestyle only sort of out of necessity. Found the marine 30 amp to 15 amp adapter at a local rv shop. Plugged up the water. Lights work. Fridge is an apartment model so its electric and works great. Propane sort of works but it makes me nervous so haven't messed with it. A/C blows but not cold. Water is yet to be seen. We're new, like super new, at this so any advice would be helpful on the an A/C rest or what I'm not doing because I really don't mind being this age and not knowing something but I won't stay that way if I can help it. Thanks for any help you can provide. Nice to meet y'all.

Hi and Welcome to FRF.
Your trailer pic appears to be a FEMA trailer.
So you probably don't have a model number for the trailer.
Therefore you're going to have to provide more information and pics.

Be sure to check out the Tech and Repair section. There are sub-forums for almost every RV technical features.

Are you trying to run the AC when plugged into a 15a circuit? NOTE: I'm not saying this is the problem, it is just a way for us to gather info.

I'm plugged into a standard outlet using a dog bone adapter. The air blows lukewarm at best. I don't hear the compressor. If I put the thermostat on auto it shuts the fan off. I'm going to get some aluminum safe coil cleaner and give it a once over. I've heard some units, mine is a Dometic Thermo Duo (or something like that), have a reset button. I can't find one but I wondered if that was a possible option? Like I said I'm new. I have access to the VIN plate and will see about the model #. It was manufactured in Sept. of 2005. I'll post pics of it. It is a FEMA trailer. Good eye

The a/c probably isn't working because you'll need a minimum of 20amps, not 15amps.
So I'll need this then right? The 15 amp was just closer. I have access to the larger outlet just further away.

If it's a 13.5k BTU air conditioner, it should work.
If it's a 15k BTU, then it might not be enough. I've never had a 15k a/c so I can't say for sure.
That cord is for a 30amp RV outlet. You apparently don't have that. Using that cord with an adapter, doesn't increase amperage from a 15amp nor a 20amp outlet.

This is what I have. So the cord I attached would make this go to the 50 amp plug and I would then have enough to run my entire trailer including AC. Correct?

I would install a soft start and use a Hughes Autoformer if you are going to run the AC from an 15mp house plug. Or Install you a 30amp service plug at your camper.

When you run that AC from the house plug I bet you voltage is dropping down to 105 or below. Not Good...

:)

Welcome to the forum. You should at least have 30amp service for the AC to operate properly and to run most other item. Later RJD

Welcome from Mississippi! You mentioned the trailer is set up for 50 amp service. Are you able to add a 50 amp receptacle for shore power?

No I said it was set up with a circular locking 3 prong 30 amp marine plug. I have access to a 50 amp outlet but I have to get a 30 amp female to 50 amp male extention cord to reach it.

This is my info plate. I'm sure there is some useful info here. Currently I'm hooked to city water but I have no water flow in the trailer. No idea of the water heater, tank, or pumps location. I am unsure if I even have a freshwater tank and my waste water system looks to be a direct to sewage dump with no gray tank.

I know nothing about FEMA trailers but I'm sure there was a water heater. Whether it was propane or not???

If so, there will be a metal exhaust vent somewhere.

If you have a water pump, there should be a switch for it and if a fresh tank, there would be a port for filling.

When new, all this stuff would have likely been labeled but this old, may not be able to read them, if they even still exist.

I'd do a detailed walk around of the outside and snap pics of everything you see. We'll be able to tell you what they are, or at least were, when new.

Then pretty much the same for the inside. Any switch, the electrical service panel etc.

According to this, you may not have any sewage tanks, fresh tank or water pump.

"The typical FEMA trailer has two propane tanks on the front of the trailer behind the master bedroom, which provide the hot water, indoor heating, and gas for the stove and oven. Running water for the trailer is usually provided by some sort of water source on the property, usually through a garden hose. Sewage is piped directly to an underground sewage main on the property. Most trailers have several windows which can be opened, as well as small light fixtures in each room.[4]"

I don't know if you'll have a check valve at the fresh water hookup but if so, that could be why you're not getting water. There could also be a main water shut off valve somewhere.

Super helpful. So no tanks for water or sewage. I've opened every access point I could find. On the driver side of the unit I found the metal exhaust port. The water heater button is in the bathroom but port is near the kitchen/bedroom wall. I've got 2 turn valves on passenger side rear but they just jut out the bottom. Line bleeders maybe? I dunno yall. It's storming here so can't do much. I appreciate the assistance. I'll keep checking back.
