So far, it is being covered by camper ins and homeowners ins. They said camping world will do all repairs as estimated. Even if once they tear things open they find more. Our ins will cover it all minus $500 deductible. Our homeowners will cover what camper ins. does not cover.
The forum is very helpful. Thanks to everyone out there for advice and consoling me. I was stressed out. We've never had a camper before, other than a small popup, years ago. I am the sole driver of the new TV as well as towing the camper. I have no experience doing so at all except the many trips we've taken since the purchase. We bought it outright from a seller used but practically brand spanking new. Stickers were still on fridge and microwave. 1st owner voluntarily let it be taken back by finance co. 3rd month in. We've wanted a camper for years but knew we could never afford one. This fell into our lap at half price of fmv. i knew ifnit was totaled, we'd never be able to get the same quality and newness at that price again. We spent the $ out of our savings for it when we really shouldn't have. It was just too good of a deal to let go by. I'd also done a lot to modify it and we were loving the fact that we could once roam again at our age. I'm a caretaker for 2 adults by myself and with the camper, I can continue to do what I love and take them along, instead of us all being stuck at home.
