Inside water heater switch

once we got the generator I could see the advantage of an inside switch for better/easier control of when the WH is allowed to come on, when we're on the gen...... wanted a lighted one so it would get more attention and be a reminder that it is on,....... I wanted it in a good visible location, but, the first place I cut to put it, ended up being a "no go",....... when I removed the cutout for the "old work" box, the black tank vent pipe was dead center of the hole(at least now I know where the blk tank vent pipe is),.... will have to cover that with a blank cover plate,.....

now, after every new project, I keep telling myself this has got to be the last thing that needs doing,..... wrong, there is always something else, but at least they are slowing down a little and if I didn't enjoy tweaking the 25KS I wouldn't be doing them anyway,.....

A handy tip:::: I drill a very small hole first and then use a piece of "stiff" wire to feel if something might be hidden behind wall..You can always fill the hole with matching putty.J

"fella10"--I have at times used an oversized blank plate to cover holes such as that one. They come in decorative styles also. Or better yet, find a very thin toggle switch as used to turn on an overhead light in the house if it will fit inside that cut-out. Install that on the hole and let people wonder what in the world it does when they flip it.
