July 24-27, 2025 Chenango Valley State Park FROG Rally

We are pretty excited about this summer too. Got the camping itch, so I uncovered it, dewinterized everything and began checking things out. Well guess I jinxed myself... uggg snow.

Think warm summer thoughts and campfires and maybe the snow will go away!

Fun thing to think about I’ll be making both oreo truffles and coconut truffles (think mounds bar) for the rally. I always figure out what sweet treats to bring first then think about healthy food later.

I'm getting so excited remember if you haven't ordered tshirts and want them to reach out last day to order is Minday the 31st. After that I can't guarantee I'll have the size you want.

Hey Coney, nice to see you keep an eye on your old Chenango friends! Nope not moving south, how us Florida treating you.

Hello FROGs,

I just sent this out in an email but making sure everyone got this!

As warm weather rolls in, many of us start feeling the pull of the great outdoors—and with less than 100 days until rally time, it’s the perfect moment to start preparing! Whether you're a returning FROG or joining us for the first time, we’re excited to welcome you.

General Info & Reminders

  • Potluck Meals: We often get asked, “How much should I cook for the potluck?” Just bring what you’d normally bring to a church social or family gathering. No need to cook for 60+ people! There's always plenty of food, and usually enough for seconds. Please just remember: we do have a large group, so try to keep things moving during mealtime.
  • Campfire Host Needed: Traditionally, Bill and Anne host the opening night campfire, but they won’t be attending this year. If you'd like to host, please reach out to me.
  • Main Gathering Spot: All activities happen between sites 114 and 115. We use pop-up canopies (secured with bungee cords) for shade and rain cover. If you have an extra 10x10 canopy, bring it along—we usually get at least one storm during the weekend.

I am getting excited as this is our first FROG rally and sounds like it will be a lot of fun. We will be going to Montana at the beginning of the month and working back across the states to NY for this rally. Just and FYI for everyone the breakfast on Friday I will be bringing mimosas and for the camper crawl will have Jello shots!

Oh boy NJKris will be happy that jello shots are returning missed out on them last year because Bill and Anne didn’t attend.
Anyone know what the official count down in days is? We’re arriving early on the 22nd.
Bringing a pop up shelter for the host site to use.

and someone else will be missing the Jello shots again,

Hi We are newbies to the Rally and are looking forward to meeting new camper friends. We will be doing the camper crawl and I am making a fruit and cheese charituture board and will have a few bottles of different finger lakes wines and lemonade for non drinkers. Not sure what I am bringing for breakfast or dish to pass meals yet but getting our plans in order. Less than 2 months away.

I’m bringing truffles again have a recipe that uses coconut and tastes like a mounds bar. I will probably make the Oreo cream cheese version as well. Both are nut free but do contain dairy!
Now that the essential chocolate is figured out have to think about dinner and breakfast.

Update countdown posted, shirts ordered, prizes for games bought.
I'm working on the updates to agenda. Can't wait.
