Kenwood radio with sub

I am pulling out my Kenwood head unit, DNX775RVS, to see if my hot and ignition wires are switched like other people have had issues with. I have had trouble with the head unit since trying to upgrade the Garmin maps.

But my question is, I have the factory JBL sub in the cab and I’ve never heard it play from day one. Now that the head unit is out, there are no RCA cables plugged into the back of the radio for signal.

Does anyone know where the factory amp is located for the sub? And does that amp require RCA signal, or is it getting signal for another set of wires from the back unit?

The speaker connections are from the wiring harness (24 pin, I believe) on the back of the unit. There is a fuse contained in the same female side of the connector. Sub most likely is also connected via that connector.
Standard M2 and rear coach speakers (on ceiling, slightly behind the cab to chassis transition) are definitely not RCA. Suspect that the sub is handled similarly.

We haven't been running that for a while. I think they placed it up behind the passenger side are for the cabin filter?
