Kettle Creek State Park

Hi all. DW and I are looking to spend a weekend here at the end of the month. Anyone been there? Any thoughts, suggestions or comments appreciated!

Kettle creek is absolutely beautiful. Newer bathrooms that are extremely clean. This is the lower campground only. The upper campground is kind of primitive. I've been going there for almost 20 years. If you have time check out Hyner view park in renovo. The pa Grand Canyon is not too far either hope you like it. Ole Bull state park just north of there is another nice campground

Thanks that's good to hear. We are booked I the lower camp ground. Couldn't resist having the creek at the back of our site. Looking forward to Hyner View as well! Hopefully the weather forecast improves before the weekend!

That's for sure. We've been to the area a few times, Wellsboro/PA Grand Canyon those types of things but this will be a new one for us. There are plenty of things to do in the event of rain. I'll let you know how we make out and hopefully have some good pictures. Thanks again.

Well it is with much regret that we had to bail on Kettle Creek. With the storms and flood warnings being predicted we decided against driving that far and camping alongside a creek. We'll try to go in fall. Had a great weekend in Gettysburg though despite the rain.

if I had a nickel for every rainy weekend I spent in a tent at kettle creek!!!!! we usually always went up there in early spring or fall and came home soaked. now that I have a trailer it doesn't rain as much. I could go on forever with rain and storm stories when tenting up there. coming home asking yourself why you consider this fun. it makes for good memories
