Yesterday I went to grease and oil my 2004 Rockwood Freedom 2280 popup using the thread response by f5moab (https://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f9/12v-motorized-folding-camper-winch-60970.html) and wanted to post some observations and ask a question.
The zerk fitting in the front bottom was easy to locate. The back fitting was more difficult to locate and then use as it was hidden above the axel.
When I went to put oil in the spring tracks, the oil leaked out on to me and the floor. Looking there are drilled holes in all 4 tubes. So my question is, what is the purpose of those holes? My guess is an easy access port for adding oil to lube the springs or to allow condensation to drip out.
