Lion Energy 1300 BT Lithium - Reading App

Is anyone using the Lion 1300 BT and the bluetooth app? I just got it working, and I'm trying to interpret ..

It seems that when it is charging it shows the time to full charge and watts and amp data - i think the inputs.

When it is fully charged, it will show watts and amps being used and time to battery power left.

Odd set up - I'm not sure that I am interpreting correctly. I have two Lion batteries set up on parallel, only one has bluetooth - I assume the app essentially sees it as a single batter.

My GoPower controller also appears to see it as a single battery.

Anyone with Lion app experience?

App/BMS won't be able to determine cells voltage and other info it needs
so you best to get a cheap shunt to take care of SOC

each battery has it's own BMS and balancing cables etc so you can't just link the two together and read common data

Your Non bluetooth battery will probably run just fine as long as you are not a big power user... do you use INVERTER?

1) the shunt will show you SOC and OVERALL charge discharge of both batteries
2) the bluetooth will show cell voltage and balancing info of it's battery
3) the non bluetooth one will just sit there and accept what charge you give it

Shunt... you tell it you have a total expected amp hours
if the shunt starts reporting less than usual you will need to grab the multimeter


no reason you cant have a shunt on each battery... but whether you need to do so is up to you?

just thinking tooo..

in parallel each battery will share the charge discharge
if your app says battery 1 is charging at 20 amps the second battery will also be doing 20amps
the SOC in each battery should be very close (in theory)

add shunt to second non bluetooth if you want
