low point drain caps

Can't get them off. Do they turn clockwise or counterclockwise to remove?

Lefty - Loosey, Righty - Tighty.

They are right hand threads. Turn counter clockwise to loosen

I have to be careful with mine … the fitting spins inside the pex … amazing that I don’t yet have a drip

I you decide to go the valve route which does make draining easier be sure to look at your threads.

I found mine to be straight threads that the caps are attached to. The valves in the links above are NPT threads and you may get them to work but are not proper. The straight thread fitting rely on a gasket in the cap for sealing, not the threads.

I ended up installing a PEX shut off on mine similar to this. Had enough room to get a tool up there.
