Manual replacement for Electric Steps?

August seems to be a month for things to fail . My electric Kwikee ( triple ) steps have suddenly stopped working. I'm trying to fix them but if it ends up having to replace them I'm seriously considering replacing them with manual ones.
Has anyone done this ? I'd be interested in brands model numbers etc and how you mounted them
