Mondays at the tire shop

Had a guy show up a few hours late for his first day on the job. He said he overslept. His mom, who got him the job, probably won't be too happy about this.

I do wonder if he got to keep his new job....especially since he showed up at the wrong tire shop. Lol
Sounds like another "millenial" who has never had to find his way in life as he's always had a parent there to lead him.

And they are still living at home.
We were fortunate both ours got through callege and left home. Both are doing great............ The mid 30s one finished his PHD in education last year and works at a university............he has some stories...... their parents are often worse than their student / child.

Yeah, same here, mine just turned 27 last week, she moved out 9 years ago. She's an aerospace engineer for NASA.

The youngest millennials turn 30 next year.
The Millenials in my family are my grandkids 😎

Five of them and the youngest is 25 years old.
One Doctor, one Mechanical Engineer, one RN, one Healthcare Administrator, and one 30 Y.O. still searching for a career. 80% isn't all that bad. At least none are still living with parents.

Not bad at all.

Hopefully you will see that not all idiots are in your area!

LOL. Inexperienced tire tech (or self balanced). Probably has water/fix-a-flat inside or maybe even balance beads...which will have you eternally adding weights and will never zero out.

lol. That reminds me of someone dear to the family. He was a ranch hand who lived on the ranch and worked for the family for most of his life. Hard worker, but had some interesting solutions to things...

He finally couldn't keep the tires inflated any longer on his ranch truck. Uncle pulled them off the rims and found them 100% filled with fix-a-flat. Not a bit of air.

I had four if you count a four year enlistment. Some folks need change every once in a while. When the job became work it was time to try something else.
That put retiring at 55 on the back burner though. :)

Not sure if I solidified a relationship or broke it apart. I guess time will tell. Young male and female came in to get a tire replaced on her passenger front. It had a bubble on the sidewall from a rim pinch (very common here in LA with all our potholes held together by pieces of road).

The female was asking me what caused that bubble, which I told her before I dismounted it, and explained the inner cut she would have from the tire pinching on the rim.

After dismounting, I showed the cut to both of them. Now the fun part. The male starts trying to insert himself into this and told me she needed a spare tire. He wanted me to "patch" that impact cut and put it on her spare rim. I refused and told them both again that tire was junk. He starts trying to say he worked at a tire shop before and they fixed tires like that all the time, and If I knew what I was doing, I would to.

Yeah, ya probably know me and how he just stepped in it. I told them that if anyone ever did try to repair tires like that, they were complete and utter morons...and are trying to hurt/kill people. I then looked him dead in the eyes and asked him if he was trying to hurt this young lady? She joined me and we both just stared at him awaiting a response. He didn't say anything else, at least to me. She thanked me and paid the bill. As they left, I saw him just looking away from me....and her.

Follow me for more relationship advice. LOL

If they weren't married you probably just prevented a future divorce.
