I have a High Point convection oven, a suburban, two burner propane, stiove and a hood range fan and light. the fan and light both quit working at the same time and it’s not because of the fuse. Would it be that the fan just burnt out and I have to replace that unit all the wiring looks good still

I find that a DVM (digital voltage multimeter) is an absolutely MUST-HAVE for any camper or RV configuration. Also, knowing how to use it and understand the results is a plus.

I'm thinking when both a light and fan motor go out together it's an electrical problem.
check for both power and ground. the ground wire is more difficult to check with a light, but it can be done. DR

Thank you all for the advice. I still haven’t got it figured out yet. I do have power to the 110 plug-in that branches off from same wire that goes to the fan.

If you post what model RV you have it might help. On our 2018 Cherokee 39RL there is a switch by the receptacle over the counter next to the range that controls the light there. It must be switched on for the range hood fan and light to have power.

There is a thermal fuse in the hood near the center of fan motor that will break if you run the stove top burners without pots on the burners. I don't know what brand stove hood I have, but I think the thermal fuse is standard in all stove top hoods.

I assume you have one too. It looks like these, but your specific brand of fuse may differ:

Probably a bad crimped end on the wires connected to the range hood. I've had to fix a lot of bad connections on ours. It's one of the first things I check after fuses and breakers
