Greetings!

Just took possession of a new to me 2021 Salem FXS 178BHSK. The previous owners rarely used it and it still has the “new car” smell. They also put on a few items like the rear camera and the electric tongue jack.

I’ve wanted a small RV for awhile. Been tent and trucking camping for decades along with sailing for a few decades. So this will be an experience for me.

The learning curve will be steep but I tink the general systems will be understandable (and easier compared to a boat).

The PO had a bunch of manuals and I’ve been able to hunt and peck for the actually rig manual to learn care and maintenance. The slide out is my biggest concern. It works great, as does everything on the rig, but things do fail.

My list of ad on’s include. - solar panel (portable), generator, better leveling blocks, better battery(s) And a few other items. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Btw, my use is two fold. With my wife, campgrounds and comfort. When it’s just me camping, it’s remote/dispersed/boondoggle. Basically off grid and away from anyone. And I camp anywhere from texas up to Montana, west to Utah and east to the smokies.
