New Xtreme Package (to test the waters)

Yeah I considered that, but wasn’t thrilled about pulling a triple (boat + 5th wheel)! Don’t get me wrong, we love our Force HD, it’s completely awesome! Just would love it a smidge more if it was a 4 door cab.

Part of what I continue to appreciate about Dynamax is @bclemens interaction and interest in understanding what his customer base is desiring. When he doesn't "get it" he asks questions and seeks to understand and shared the challenges.

I do think the 28SS is a better fit for this package for extreme use, but I am also working on a design that is more rugged with no slides and some very unique concepts. It just takes time as some of the parts I want do not even exist today, they are just in testing/prototype phase.
Hi Brian. Are you still working on this no-slide, more rugged design? A Dynamax offering like this would be exciting. It would be nice to have something:
  1. smaller than the 28SS;
  2. light offroad capable (think maintained BLM and Forest Service roads);
  3. easy cab<->coach access, like the Sprinter or M2 chassis;
  4. sleep 3 adults on the main coach floor;
  5. narrow enough to fit width-wise in normal parking spaces (say 90"± wide), even if it is 25' long.
Maybe conceptually like the Winnebago Sprinter Ekko 23B, but plus some Brian experience, insight, and special touches as well as Dynamax quality.

I wish Mercedes would sell a chassis 4500 AWD version. That would alleviate a lot of concerns around CCC etc.

it is....
Hi Brian - Is the unit you reference above the same as the Sprinter Isata 3 chassis discussed in another thread? Or is this no-slide, more rugged unit a Ram or a different chassis? Thank you.

I'm not sure I follow. The AWD, non slide sprinter, more rugged, is coming this fall. I don't think it has been discussed. WE do have a twin bed 3 Series built right now that should come out in the next month.

Looking at my post, I see how it could be confusing :D

Since this thread was originally on the Ram Extreme offering, I was wondering if your comment below was about a new Ram offering. It sounds like that was referring to the AWD, more rugged, non slide sprinter. Looking forward to seeing more about that.

The liquid springs will really handle a lot of this. Is there any information/floorplan available on the twin bed 3 series coming out next month?

Thank you very much!

Twin bed will be standard 3 series size and spec, but AWD chassis. I don't have anything to share quite yet, as I have not walked the proto. Once I do, we'll see what changes (if any) we want to make. Hope to have something soon, as I know it was close to finished (if not finished)

The more rugged version, will be narrower. As tight to the chassis width that we can get and a different spec than the 3 series. Trying to keep it simpler, mostly wrap vs paint, so people are more willing to take it off road and into some back country. More aluminum parts vs. Fiberglass.

Thank you! Really looking forward to seeing both!

The standard 3 series twin bed with AWD will be an interesting offering, and I hope a good one for you. There is very little available with that combo, and from forums and fb groups it seems like there is some decent demand.

This new Prism 25TB looks like a pretty cool floorplan that might be nice for your twin bed, AWD. Sleeps three 6' adults on the main floor with the optional 80" jack knife sofa. Windows on the back and both sides of the bedroom make for a nice bedroom or lounge area. Bunk over cab for a little extra storage area. OCCC should be OK without a slide. Someone could add an aftermarket suspension lift and super singles and have something similar in concept to the Isata 5 Extreme, but a smaller footprint. This floor plan with the Dynamax spec and BC care would be awesome!

Hi Brian, just checking if there are any updates on the twin bed, awd, no slide, isata 3 version? Any floorplan to share? Thank you!

Just walked the completed proto a week or so back.

Thank you for sharing that! So nice to have an AWD, no-slide option available. It looks like a great couples floorplan. We are probably going to be more inclined to the Project Oberon floorplan for our use due to the 3rd sleeping position on the floor (east-west behind the cab seats) and due to its rear window. Thank you again for your open communication and collaboration!
