Hello everyone. Glad to be here. My wife and I are retiring Feb. 2025 and hooking up our Flagstaff, then hitting the road to travel this great country for a couple of years. We close on our home the end of this year. So looking forward to our next phase in life. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Wow, big step but exciting for sure. My wife and I are doing the same, but not quite so adventurous. Home base in summer will be our Cherokee 39RL that is on a permanent site in Ontario, but colder months travelling around in another unit, either a Class C or a smaller TT. Some good people and information here. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, check out this thread. Lot's of good info on navigating the forum.

Welcome to the forum, I see it is your 1st post.

Enjoy your retirement and your new adventure.
I know lots of folks who have done the same.

They traveled a while, found areas they liked and and after a time, went back to having a permanent place. There are lots of things to learn being full time. Hopefully all goes well and you can enjoy for many years to come.

I'll leave you with this... it is one thing almost all full timers have told me... "always have a back up plan."

You never know when you might need a hospital, emergency services, long term rehab, etc. You never know when your rig may have issues. You never know when your tow vehicle could have issues, etc.

I hope none of that happens and you can enjoy the retired life to its fullest... but always have a back up plan.

Thanks for the introduction. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement.
Having a backup plan is a good idea. We aren't full timers, but we were caught with few options when a government shutdown closed campgrounds on our trip a few years ago.

Welcome to the forum!
