Hello All -

Just got a new 2025 NOBO 19.2 and found out that the standard Curt 19100 will not attach to the rear bumper, as the bumper itself does not extend far enough away from the trailer (needs about one more inch) to mount. Curious if anyone has found a hitch that will mount properly/easily without making alterations to the hitch, tack welding etc.?

We are trying to attach our Hollywood ebike rack to the rear bumper. The Curt model is rated for 350 lbs which is more than sufficient.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Do not attach a bike rack to the rear bumper. They are generally approved for 0.0lbs of weight. You add 100+ pounds back there and your bikes might be on the ground.
You want to get a frame mounted bike rack. Not sure of a brand, check Etrailer, Amazon,.....
I'd also be concerned with putting a lot of weight on the rear end of a light trailer like that. You'll take too much weight off the tongue.

x2!
Your trailer has an ultralight frame and no bikes(especially ebike)should be supported by the rear bumper alone.
Your trailer doesn't have shocks and bike racks hold the bikes out and away from the bumper. These two factors will possibly cause the bumper welds to break.
You need to have a receiver welded and braced to the frame AND bumper.
It's not the Curt you need to worry about, it's the thin metal and weak welds of the bumper.

Thanks for your input Jim and Dan. I had shared my intent with the bike rack with the dealer I bought the trailer from. Seems like this advice could have come from the salesperson. I will look into finding a mount to attach to the frame.

It is hard to find salesperson who will say anything that might kill a deal...in any industry.

Anyway as the others have said don't try putting anything heavy on the rear bumper as most trailers are not designed for the additional weight. I suggest contacting NoBo directly for the correct answers. HERE is their contact info page.

Moved post to its own thread, from the Towing, Tow Vehicles and Hitches sub-forum to Ibex/NoBo sub-forum since this member's post has nothing to do with Towing, Tow Vehicles or Hitches.
It has only model-specific questions.
