Only driver side propane tank works.

I have a 22’ Columbus c series 299rl
We love it but have always had issues with propane. It doesn’t have switch over valve or tank level indicators. I was told they would draw down together. That’s not happening. Only driver side draws down. When empty and passenger side full the heater doesn’t work. I have switched the full tank to drivers side and it still won’t work. Very frustrating. Any ideas out there would be appreciated.

If the passenger side tank does not work on the other side either .... ? ...... then my guess is the tank itself has an issue............. 30 pound lp tank?? 30s are internally different than 20s

Since you say you moved the passenger side tank over to the drivers side and it still doesn't work, that sounds like the issue lies with tank. Can you post a pic of these tanks and your connections? I want to look at something. Thanks

It might help to send a picture of the tanks and cross-over valve. Since it's the simple stuff that can drive us crazy (myself included), is the driver's tank full and is the tank valve open? There is also a safety valve in the tank. If the tank valve was opened too fast, this valve may have thought it was a leak and closed itself. Or the safety valve could be defective. I would take the tank off and see if it works on your gas grill. Just open the valve real slow once hooked up to the grill.

Sounds like a tank/valve issue or operator error (opening valve too quickly) if that particular tank doesn't work on either side. Modern LP tanks have safety features built into them and opening a valve too quickly on a depleted LP system, often triggers one of those features.

Can you post a picture of the line connections at each tank. Not having an auto-changeover regulator is uncommon with today's R/Vs.
