Hi. I'm considering a Isata3 purchase but will need to travel to the lower 48 to pick up. I'd prefer WA/OR or FL as I have family there but can go anywhere. I'd like to hear about your dealership experiences. I prioritize honesty, accurate product knowledge, good communication and fair pricing. Thanks!

We purchased our 2nd MH from MHSRV (Alvarado TX) because our 1st buying experience with them was so positive. What we didn't know was that the dealership was sold inbetween our purchases, and frankly was a notch below our expectations....however....they have experienced sales and service personnel and limo service from the Dallas airports. If nothing else, visit their websites for no haggle pricing....

I sent you a PM about your Isata dealer question .

We purchased our RV from MHSRV and frankly it was the worst purchase experience ever. Multiple broken commitments, and then ghosting us after the purchase. highly recommend you run away from this dealership. I've had several other folks tell me similar stories.

We had the exact same experience. Buyer beware shopping at MHSRV.

I bought my first 5th wheel from dealer A great experience. I went back 5years later same salesman he wanted nothing to do with me because he thought I was a waste of his time. He remembered me but once sales manager thought we could make a deal he was all nice again. Bought from a different dealer but trl was crap they went the extra mile to make it right in a better trailer now. My advice find the best deal negotiat from there dot your I cross your T getbest bang for your buck your not gonna beh seeing the salesman after the deal.

Performance RV Ohio

We’ve purchased two RVs from Performance RV in Thornville Ohio, an Isata 5 and a DX3. The dealer experience was outstanding, second to none. Their PDI before you ever see the rig takes multiple days. Any issues are resolved before you show up. The walk through took hours and all of our questions (even the stupid ones) were answered. They made sure my wife knew all the systems. After sale service is extraordinary. Their rule is that if you’ve thought about a problem for five minutes you should have called them two minutes ago. They give you their cell phone numbers and answer 24/7, even weekends. They know the Dynamax products and the people at the factory. I’ll never buy an RV from anyone else.

We were very satisfied with Demartini RV in Grass Valley, CA. Price was competitive with other dealers. The PDI was very thorough, and the delivery walk-through took the better part of the day, only ending after all of our questions were answered. They have a close relationship with Dynamax, and know the product. Only dealt with our salesman, Nate Davey, during the entire ordering, delivery, and documentation process ( no shuffling from one person to another). Highly recommend.

I echo the MHSRV experience penned here by others: quite the worst demonstration of "dealership" I have ever encountered. Besides the haste with which they wanted me off the lot despite a number of pre delivery problems, their service capabilities post delivery are virtually non existent though they will swear to the opposite.

But their pricing is good so the game is to arrive for pick up with clothing, planning and resources to spend a week getting the coach to match every element of your pre delivery inspection without taking anything for granted. They can and should get it done sooner but if you demonstrate your intention of holding them to the contracted price AND delivering a fully working coach with no requirement for a return or a factory delivery of a part - it gets the salesperson's attention and only they can get that work done.

I'd like to share an amazing purchase and service experience with Ram Motors RV & Truck, 8100 Jacs Ln, Albuquerque, NM 87113. Their phone is (505) 892-3600. From the first contact to get a quote and throughout the entire purchase process and PDI they were exceptional. We purchased our new 2024 Dynamax Isata 3 24FWSFXM Freedom Edition from them. They gave us the best price by far of any dealer we contacted within a two days drive of our home. I dealt with Mike Mcculley, he did an excellent job negotiating in good faith and getting me the answers I needed. As we waited for the rig to be built Mike would check in occasionally to keep us updated. The day the coach arrived on their lot Mike sent us a pic and started arrangements for our walk through. I had explained to Mike that we would do an extensive PDI/walkthrough that would take several hours (this isn't our first rodeo!). He assured me that would be no problem and that they would have techs available to deal with any issues. Unfortunately the next day Mike ended up in the hospital for several days. I ended up speaking with one of the three owners, Walter and he managed the hand-off from Mike to Uriah Holland who coordinated the rest of the process with us.

We showed up right on time at the dealership and met the friendliest bunch of folks you can imagine. I was chatting with someone by the name of Tony while I waited for Uriah to get us going. Turns out Tony was the second owner that we'd deal with, what a great guy.

We got to work on our PDI with JD (Jayden) who assured me that if he didn't know the answer he would get someone who did and if no one at the dealership knew they'd get Dynamax on the line. I heard things like this from other dealers before and had been disappointed. Guess what, as we went through our extensive 8 hour PDI (we're very thorough in this process) JD was on top of EVERYTHING. If there was something that needed to be resolved he got the right tech on it immediately. There was no argument, no trying to justify things, nope just hard work to get everything resolved. That's when we met Jose, the magic man for everything technical. Wow, what an exceptional tech and a great guy to deal with. He was able to resolve everything and was very good at explaining how things worked. When we hit a road block with our heat pump Jose got the right contact on the phone at Dynamax (just like they promised) and then the right person at Firefly to resolve the issues. Again, never an argument, never a hesitation to get it fixed right or try to brush us off. Several times Walter, remember him, an owner, got involved to help coordinate things. Walter manages the service department and is a hands on and is an excellent leader of his team. I can't believe an owner was actually getting involved and even running to the local auto parts store to pick up something so his guys could keep working!!

After the PDI was complete we settled up with Uriah. Uriah wasn't aware of a discussion Mike and I had had about one charge on the invoice. After we discussed it he called Chris, the third owner, who manages the sales team and they agreed to honor what Mike had promised. No fight, no pissing match, just honest discussion and trying to understand what happened.

We drove off that evening to our campground nearby to try everything out over the weekend. I had an agreement that we would return on Monday if there were any issues we found. The team had agreed to have a tech ready if we needed anything. We did find a couple issues so back to the dealer we went Monday morning. As promised Jose was ready and worked diligently and got the issues resolved. Again, no complaining, no arguing, just a team happy to get things resolved so that we were completely satisfied.

I would HIGHLY recommended Ram Motors RV and Truck. It owned by three great guys who know how to take care of their customers. Their team follows this model and works hard to make your experience with them exceptional!! And no - this is not a paid advertisement! There are so many terrible dealers out there who are trying to rip folks off with bogus fees and not resolving issues appropriately that I really wanted to give a shout out to a great dealer.

To my knowledge there are only 2 dealers in Washington that have new Dynamax units.

Blue Compass RV in Pasco and Spokane area

Paulsbo RV in the Seattle area.

I haven't had any experience with either dealership as I do most all work on the unit myself (live hours away from either dealer).

I did see that Blue Compass does have an Isata 3 in their inventory.

Make sure you do an in depth PDI wherever you go. Test ALL systems and get proper introduction to the Firefly system. Do your homework before looking.

Good luck

We too had a great experience with DeMartini RV in Grass Valley, CA.

We live in Central Washington state, so it's not close to home.
That said, our initial experiences of research, first visit and all was very professional. We dealt with Jon DeMartini. He has been and continues to be, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
We ended up buying a 2022 DX3 34KD and love it. 12,000 miles now. A few hiccups - yes. But, it's an RV.

They are also a fairly high volume dealer, so their inventory if typically good.

We’re in Washington and bought our Forest River from Apache Camper in Everett. They were great when we were looking and carried through when we bought. We’ve had it in for two warranty items and they were good and fast both times. They are in Washington and Portland Or.

Hi Katiemo,

I see you have two posts; welcome to the forum. Sorry to be so tardy in responding to your question...I'm just now catching up with this edition.
We aren't new to motorhomes, just new to Dynamax. As KRedburn stated, there are two dealerships in eastern WA, both Blue Compass. That's where we bought our DX3, as we got a good price. That was the only good thing about the purchase; run, do not walk, away from Blue Compass in Washington. Our pre-purchase inspection was not at all adequate, but i figured that was a possibility and wasn't too worried, as I'm somewhat mechanically inclined. However, not only did we get incorrect information on the walk-through--several instances which are a bit too involved to get into here--, we received incorrect information which was actually dangerous...operation of the vehicle if the DEF system fails or the amount is low, among other things. The techs and dealership are not at all knowledgeable about the vehicle, and it's painfully obvious. I requested a couple of parts for them to send me so that I could fix things which are simple ( we didn't want to spend the time there, as it's about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive from home) and never received them. I will not darken their door for any repair of any kind; I will pay a reputable dealership to fix something, even if it is under warranty...unless it is something major enough to drive to Portland or Seattle. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth.

All that said, I believe the vehicle is a good one, and this forum is great. I wish you well, and good luck on your purchase.

We bought our Force from McKee RV in Iowa. They were the best price we found and very nice to deal with. It's about 400 miles from our location in SW Michigan to the DesMoines, Iowa location. More exactly Perry, Iowa which is a bit NW of DesMoines. Everything until pickup was handled professionally, by McKee, over the phone. Received the coach, exactly as ordered and the agreed upon price, no extra charges. At the time, ours is a 2022 model that took 1/2 year to build, Charlie Wells was the person at McKee that we dealt with.

We picked up our coach on (I believe it was) Saturday and during the PDI the rear bed slide was out. When we arrived at the KOA, South of Perry on I80, the rear slide would not extend. We brought the coach back to McKee and they took care of the issue and we were back on the road the next day.

Assuming that nothing has changed significantly at McKee, you wouldn't go wrong to buy from them. We were very pleased.

Never left a Dealer so fast!

So this is sort of a rant but also there is a question too. Just a warning.

MHSRV, I had done my research before going to see them, they are owned by Blue Compass RV which their headquarters are in Florida. I had gone to one RV dealer this morning before heading over to MHSRV. The first dealer I went to I have always been treated very well, they excel at customer service. I made plans earlier in the week for me to test drive two of their coaches on the lot. No issues, brought my license and a copy of my insurance. Test driving went great, I crossed off the second one I drove immediately I didn't like driving the motorhome. After those two test drives I headed over to MHSRV. This dealer is HUGE they have brands I have never even heard of. I went to the front office and signed my name said that I would like to look at a few coaches and then possibly test drive 1 or 2 of them. I have a budget in mind and I know what I am looking for but just want to verify it is what I want before I go into the numbers game etc. One of the coaches I wanted to test drive, was the Dynamax DX3 34KD, now mind you I previously owned a 37RB DX3. However, I never really dive into numbers unless I am very interested in that particular RV. I waited for a sales person to come help me, and I said that I would like to test drive a unit they have on the lot. He said well we have to go over the numbers first and you have to agree to them before you test drive it. I said no and walked out. Now perhaps I should have questioned him as to why. But I was so speechless I said well that's it I guess. This is no fault to Dynamax but simply an RV dealer trying to push a sale on me when I haven't even decided on what I am interested in. I did my research beforehand and MHSRV does get an F on BBB, I have never seen this before.

I really don't know of another RV dealer that has this unit on the floor for me to test drive, at least that is close to me. I find it disappointing though that there aren't other decent dealers nearby.

So anyone in the DFW area have a 34KD? Do the manufacturers have any control on what dealers get their coaches vs not?

Count yourself lucky there are numerous stories of people that regret buying from them. They certainly didn’t make us talk numbers prior to driving the rig but given the rest of the experience I wish they had

The concern I had was why would I even discuss numbers unless I am really interested in buying the coach. If I am interested after test driving it that's when I talk numbers...

The MHASRV sales staff, like the rest of Blue Compass are managed by their legal counsel. The Head of Customer Service at MHSRV is also their General Counsel for example. And accordingly they are managed by sales contacts and process. So they cannot let you drive a vehicle until you give them an assent that at a certain price you would purchase the RV if it meets your contingencies one of which was a satisfactory driving experience. My sales guy told me that customers are more interested in features and benefits and the driving experience is just one of those and because of liability issues (driving experience, ability and serendipity) they are not able to risk a vehicle until their is a reason and that is an impending sale.

Try asking a Ferrari sales person if you can drive one of their cars before they have had the ability to have you qualify both in price and the time you will have to wait before delivery. Same sort of thing and certainly the same price level.

Yeah I completely understand however I went to a different dealer earlier. Gave them my insurance and my license drove two coaches and had no issues.
