Power Panel not responding

Hello,

I have a Forest River flagstaff 831bhwss 2018. It has been plugged in to shore power all winter. Somehow, over the winter one of the awnings unfurled a little bit so I wanted to roll it up. I opened the RV up for the spring and there is power to the lights, fridge, microwave etc, but the power panel at the front only has a red light on the button labelled "panel power". All the other buttons are off and don't respond. I am unable to use the slides, the hallway light, basically anything controlled by this TP33 V2 panel. Also, the tank sensors do not show any readings. I have tried using a toothpick to reset the panel, but all that happens is the "panel power" button light turns off, the panel beeps, the "water pump" light turns on and after I remove the toothpick the panel power light goes back on and everything stays the same.

I have inspected the fuses in the fuse box underneath the fridge and they all look fine. My GFI plugs in the kitchen and bathroom both work.

When I unplug the shore power and go on battery all the rest of the power works in the RV. I checked to see if the the battery was dead, but it seems fine according to my car battery charger.

I unscrewed the panel and unplugged the Ethernet cable going to the back, but that had no impact and things just returned to red light on "power panel".

From what I have read, I may need a new power panel, but there might be something called a RSB66 black box? That has a 12 pin plug I need to reset I can't seem to find that.

I'd appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

having an issue with ours too in a 2020 Rockwood Signature. 2 slide outs not working and main awning not working. Replaced the control box which is behind our control panel hidden in the bathroom closet. Hopefully someone responds on this cause I know other people have had issues too

I would start by disconnecting shore power. Then disconnecting the battery negative. Allow about 10 minutes or so and then reconnect the battery negative. This should reset the system. Then connect shore power.

Don't ya just love computer stuff?

Exactly this. Remove all power from RV which will reboot systems when you reconnect. Easier than disconnecting specific power cords. Then reevaluate.

I did this and same result. I'm banging my head on the wall now lol. Couldn't connect the panel to my phone via Bluetooth either it said subscription ran out or something like that

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your input on this. From what I have managed to learn, the issue is usually connected to the TP33 panel and not the RSB66 black box (I have a 66 not 68). My Forest River Dealer actually recommended only ordering the TP33 Panel and then is necessary, moving to the black box. My black box is behind the microwave in the kitchen. Fortunately pretty easy access. I found it by reading this manual to update the blackbox.

I have done all the power shutdowns but doesn't seem to help. Battery is well charged. I even had an electrician come by and confirm power is getting where it needs to go.

One curious thing I came across is this pdf:

Apparently if the government makes a company put one of these out, it is because there have been numerous issues with the system. I tried to connect to the system via bluetooth but I'm an Android user and there does not seem to be an app that will work. I've ordered a new TP33 power panel. Should arrive in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it is as easy as plugging in in the Cat 5 cable and getting going. Will update.

Thank you for the reply did the new control look like the old one? Our RV tech ordered one for us today and he was told it was different but he said it looked the same to him. Maybe just a model number change

I haven't received our panel yet. Will post when I do. I hope there is an app or something that let's me connect via Bluetooth. Our Wardrobe slide doesn't have a manual pull in/out system

The wardrobe slide system is probably a Schwintek slide system. A motor on each side and a controller box for issues.

Where might I find the controller box? From what I found online, I needed to pull back the casing and manually disengage the motors?

If it is a Schwintek system and you can find the control box, there is a way to override the system. If you have the manual, which can be found on-line, it explains how to do all of this You will need to pull back the casing in order to replace a motor should that be needed.

Regarding Schwintek slide systems, I don't know how many times I've written this, but as stated in the manual, ALWAYS fully extend the slide and ALWAYS fully retract the slide system. Failure to do so, may cause the motors to be out of sync. Also, when extending or retracting the slide, it is very important to hold the switch for 3 to 5 seconds after the slide stops moving. You will likely hear the motors whine and then stop. It is now it is time to release the switch. The manual explains how to correctly sync the motors.

There is no standard location. Location of the controller is specific to that particular brand/floorplan. They often are behind a false panel
You could contact Flagstaff customer service directly, NOT FR customer service.

We received our panel Wednesday plugged it in and everything works great. Hope all goes well with yours also.
