I'm looking at new micro lights 25 foot models. Are the power stabilizing jacks worth the purchase? Is it simply easier to adjust scissor jacks with the power drill? currently this is what I do for my older unit.

Just thinking the power jacks may be slower and prone to failure?

Thoughts?

It's up to you which is easier and more desirable. That's why there are options. I've had zero issues with my power stabilizers but you may prefer to use a drill on manual ones. I hear it both ways.

I just hand my wife the speed handle and say, "get at it stab girl!" I like to keep it simple, less stuff to fail. I don't even see the need for a drill, it's almost effortless with the speed handle. And for those of you using a cordless impact driver on them when you decide to break camp at 0700.....I LOVE you.

What is the price of the option? Worth it in your mind?

From what I have heard having slide topper put on by Rockwood/Flagstaff is reasonable so maybe the stabs are too? Would not be without a topper either after hearing the rain hit a slide out without one. Drove me batty after a bit.

My first camper and I like mine so I can not compare to the manual scissor type. I do know though if I were to get another camper it will have the power stabs. I see some units with the scissor jacks extended all the way or close to it and just seems like they would want to wobble some.

I try to make my setup and tear down as quick and easy as possible. Pushing a power stab button or two is part of that process compared to raising or lowering four jacks.

After having two trailers with manual jacks I prefer the power jacks on the trailer we have now.

They are quicker just push two buttons compared to having to get the drill and socket out and going to four corners of the trailer.
Sure they can fail but have had no problems with ours.

I sure like our PSX2 power stab jacks. One less bending and contorting move I need to do when setting up or breaking down. They came with the camper (along with the slide topper) and I'm glad they did.

Thanks for all the responses. I had decided that I didn't really care about the power jacks and I wouldn't order them if I was buying new. I don't have them now and I figured I might not need them in the future.
But when I actually place the order, they said it's a promotion. They're adding a power jacks for free, I do have screwed up back, so it's probably the wise move

Good news they are including them!

For those with manual stab jacks... please do not use a battery/electric impact.

That noise drives everyone nuts but those who choose to use them that way. :(
