Propane Heater question

So we spent this past weekend camping at a local spot not far from our home in Connecticut and it got pretty chili at night and so we had to use our propane heater for the first time. the heater seemed to work great pumped out a lot of heat from the two lower vents and got our got our little travel trailer nice and toasty however, when the furnace would kick on the fan that would normally circulate air from the AC would also kick on and distribute air out from the celling vents. Is this normal to help circulate the warm air throughout the camper?

Make sure your fan switch is in the Auto position. this will only allow the furnace fan to run

I didn't see a switch, all that I have is the ability to select from heat/cool/fan

OK, I'll give that a shot... and that will keep the fan from coming on while I'm using the furnace to heat the camper?

YES!!!!!! This is a very common setup issue with RV multi-function thermostat's.
Folks post the exact problem you have posted on this forum almost every day.

I assumed the OP had a manual stat like mine should have asked if it was digital

Having the Thermostat's fan setting to 'AUTO' will keep the A/C fan from also coming on when using the furnace.

However...
Many folks like that function/ability as it helps to evenly distribute heat throughout the rig. (heat rises) It is your choice. It is designed so you can choose.

I agree that having that fan on helps with the circulation I was just curious if there was a way to control whether or not to have the fan on... the wife didn't care to have the non heated air blowing on her...

Better than using the propane heater... we take along a small edenpure electric heater and use that

Benefits
- quiet
- even heat
- FREE heat (since campground electric is included)

we just put it in the middle of the camper and the heat is plenty even since the edenpure fan runs on slow the entire time.

(we already had the heater from when the kids were babies)
