Propane o-ring damage - warranty?

Thank you, everyone, for the info and advice! Very much appreciated. The gas level gauges were given to me and attached by another customer I met at the dealership. I also concluded that they were adding stress to the hoses and seriously got in the way when taking off/putting on the black plastic tank cover. I removed them. I'll take the advice to report the issue to FR, but get someone local and not the dealership to replace the hose. I haven't been too impressed with the dealership in any capacity. I'll read the thread about the auto change over valve. Super helpful!
Replacing the hose is no more difficult than changing a light bulb. Each end screws off and on at the regulator and tank. No tape or thread goo needed. Use an open-end wrench, loosen, unscrew, remove the old one, hand thread the new one in, and tighten with the wrench.

And folks pay good money to get this stuff done. I'll never understand that.

If you replace the O ring in the tank valve, then you must not do tank exchanges.

Most members with 30 or 40 pound cylinders do not exchange but only refill. We don't have any exchange places except for the 20 pound types in my area. I always have to refill my 30 pounders.

and I refill the 20 pounders too ...
cause I want to make sure I get a full tank
+ saves a couple of dollars can almost get a cup of coffee

plenty of places that will fill tanks as you wait,

PS I have a 3rd tank for BBQ so I fill 2 at a time

Just fyi, my regulator has npt threads requiring tape or other sealing compound. I’m an engineer but the first time I started playing around with gas lines I was hesitant until I understood all the connections. That’s why I suggested someone help out as it certainly seems OP is new to gas connections.

Hi. 2023 epro 20fbs, purchased new in Feb 2024. My 1st camper. The right propane tank leaks. I checked and the hose o-ring appears damaged right by the green connector. Is this a part that is under warranty? Can just this part be replaced or does the entire coupler piece need replaced? Thanks so much!
My FR got to be 11 years old so I replace the regulator and pigtails just for grins. One year later, both pigtails are cracked (probably stress). Had I bought hoses with the SS covers I would never have noticed the cracks until they started leaking. Since I haven't had a dog or mouse chewing problem, I stay away from things that will hide propane hoses.

I just replaced both if mine six days ago... haven't put them on yet.
Link is what I bought based on my history, manufacturer reputation and rating. You might want to get a set that is a little longer that what you have.

Also get you some Molykote 111 O-ring grease... you won't ruin as many. Light coat, sparing. Works on sewer joint rings too, but DON'T use on toilet valve in bowl.

I don't do tank exchanges unless I'm looking to get a different tank. You don't get a full tank at most of the tank exchange places. It is much cheaper to get mine refilled with a full tank of gas. The place I go also gives you a free refill after 12 refills.
