Purchased a Flagstaff 25FKBS!

Finally got off the pot... and purchased a 25FKBS. Been researching for over a year and decided this was the unit for us. Like that is has a huge kitchen and private bedroom with full queen. Won't pick it up until spring as winter has set in here. Looking forward to joining in on forum discussion.

Congratulations. Winter is when I set out for some great camping. South of the snow but north of the snow birds.

Congrats and enjoy your 2023 Flagstaff MicroLite 25FKBS. We had a 2020 MicroLite 22FBS for 3 years and really liked it. It was a well built camper. Only reason we got rid of it was we're both retired and decided to go with a motorhome.

We just got the same unit a month ago. A 2022. Yes, winter is here, but we still picked it up and have been playing with it and getting all the extra stuff we'll need. Daydreaming about finally going somewhere.
We like the unit a lot.

I am working on upgrading the solar, to have almost 600 watts of solar on the top, and a few other things.

Congrats on your new travel trailer! We are slowly collecting stuff we need, also. If you have time, post up your solar upgrades. I'm sure I won't be the only one interested in your mods.

Will do. I'm still waiting on a couple of parts, and a decently warm day.
But am adding 2 200w solar panels for a total of about 590w. And before we get to traveling, will swap the batteries for 400ah of lithium. We want to have a decent amount of battery, as we'll probably end up doing a fair amount of boondocking/disbursed camping.

For those interested in how my solar and battery mods worked out in a test.

We have the 2022 25FKBS. I added two 200w solar panels, changed the battery to a 460ah lithium, and upgraded the converter to charge it better. So we should have 590w of solar, with the one panel that was already on it.

The reason for all that is because our camping will be almost totally boondocking.

So I turned on the fridge (12v), turned on every light on the rig, inside and out, turned on the inverter, plugged a fan into an outlet. I had all that running continuously for 3 days and nights. Never did the battery get less than 45%, and that was only in the morning after running all night, and after the second night. During the day it charged back up to be almost 90%.

It seems that we could boondock pretty much indefinitely as far as the battery goes. I don't even really see us using as much power as we did in this test, as we won't have all the lights on all the time.

Two of the days were very sunny, one was cloudy.

That sounds great! Do you have the model and specs on the converter?

There are some that are supposed to auto detect what kind of battery you have, but I've seen a lot of people saying that they don't do a very good job of auto detecting. So I got this one that has a switch. No big deal, and I'll probably never use anything but lithium

It also comes with the circuit board for all the 12 volt fuses. And where the switch is. So you have to replace that as well. Lots of wires, but wasn't too bad. Take some pictures.

25 FKBS

Congrats on the purchase of your 25FKBS and retirement plans. We've had our TT just under two months and have been very happy with it so far. Build quality is very good and the only issue has been the pocket door hardware. One of the brackets broke and will need replacing.

welcome to the forum. Make sure o do a good PDI when going to pick up your trailer don't sign off till your satisfied everything works and no build issues. Has anyone purchased a cover for your 25FKBS if so was it custom? Where did you get it. We want one that we can use with the pop outs out while using it on weekends without having to remove the cover.

You may get more replies if you start a specific thread in the Flagstaff forum... That being said, I have been toying with the thought of a cover for our 25FKBS. Looking at ADCO covers. They make custom covers however, you'd have to inquire if they make them with accommodations for opening the slides.
