Sort of interesting factoid, WD40 is acceptable for PVC roofs but not for others. I do know that it works well to help loosen lap sealant you want to remove. Work it with a plastic scraper and get the WD40 under it, then give it a little time. Pry the loosened section up and do it again. Its not magic but helpful.

While this page doesn't list them, other PVC roofing manufactures also list Isopropyl alcohol and Simple Green, as acceptable.

We have a surveyor 19BHLE. When we bought it, the service guy told me the best way to patch the membrane is with a piece of the same membrane and PVC glue that you can get at any hardware store. He said to be sure to get the clear primer, not the purple primer. Use a firm roller and pressure when gluing down a patch. He told me that that type of patch would not void the warranty of the PVC membrane. I haven't tried it. PVC is very resistant to most chemicals, when I upgraded the solar panel and need to clean off the Dicor from the old mounts, I just worked it up with a plastic dry wall blade and then wiped it down with a clean rag and low-vapor mineral spirits. That took all of the residue off the membrane leaving the membrane looking very clean. As for washing the roof, I use a soft brush and Armour-All automotive Wash & Wax. It does a good job.
