Range Hood Bulb

Hi,

The range hood bulb for our Forest River Salem 27RKSS has burnt out. I've never seen a bulb like this. I believe its some type of halogen. See attached picture. Anybody have an idea what it is?

Take it to your local auto parts store. That style lamp is used in many vehicle ceiling or dome lights.

I replaced ours with an LED unit. In fact, I replaced ALL of our bulbs with LED units. To wit, all 14 of our LED lamps on at the same time will pull the same amount of amps as that one incandescent bulb from the range hood.

P.S. - from your picture, it does not look as if the bulb is defective. However, I do see that one of the contact pins on the base is seriously misaligned.

Here's a good LED bulb for the range hood. The one in the photos is an LED. same answer though. Stop at an auto parts store

I digress. That could be a reflection in the photo that I’m seeing. Still the same answer. Looks like a number 194.

Mine was equipped with a 922 instead of a 912. The 922 is a higher wattage than the 912 and it started to melt the plastic cover. My dealer gave me a new cover and a 912 bulb. I decided to replace the bulb with an LED equivalent because the 912 wasn't that bright.

these bulbs are generally referred to as T10 bulbs (base size). the number, 912 or 194 is for the wattage. you can switch this over to an LED bulb for less power draw if that is a concern for you. just pick the bulb shape you think will work best.
