Dry camp is no 110 volt avail. So the other "Deep Cycle" 12 battery is when you are charging the dead battery. With a generator. Additionally, have you had any light/lamp issues. It maybe a wire issue. My battery would died prematurely at strange intervals. Once I had to slide the truck under the king pin, scary night. My tether cord had an issue and I blamed it on the 5r plug. After replacing the plug three times I finally let the shop replace the complete cord. Now trouble free...... Just saying...

Yeah I wondered.
They don't like to be deeply discharged to many times before there junk.
It's not a "true" rv battery.
It's a dual purpose marine starting/rv deep cycle battery.
Depending on what you find if you have to replace it go with a true deep cycle battery.
Others can give you a better battery recommendation.

I think i may go with optima ' s when mine give up.

I recommend this one- Trojan 27TMH or the 27TMX; I couldn't see what the significant differences were between the two. And, I found a local battery wholesaler- they typically deal commercially but will sell to the oddball on the street. The price was $145 and the cheapest only price I found was $220+$80 for shipping. I was VERY happy for that find.

WHAT HE SAID!!!!
Ours had the switch and it would turn itself on after a bumpy interstate
ride! I finally pulled my switch out and removed a wire to stop it from
happening. WHO cares about a little condensation?? OK OK you guys in the deep south might but it was never a problem for us. Low battery(s) were a problem until I found out about the switch right here on FRF.
If Dometic had put that little strip heater on the 120v AC side there would
be no issue but to have it on the 12v dc side is just stupid IMO.
If you're camping off the grid you don't care about a little condensation!

All you nay sayers please-- a decent 12v battery should NOT be dead after
one day unless something with a pretty heavy load is killing it!!

ALSO there were some refers that had the heater but NO switch to turn
it off! Some folks figured out they could pull out their door light switch and access the wire going to the heater and disconnect it that way.
Be careful. If you pull the wrong wire the interior light will stop working- ask
me how I know-

If it is a three way refrigerator, I use gas when dry camping, never 12v. It uses so little gas it is not worth the aggravation to use 12v. When on shore power, i use 120v.

Im rolling with the humidity switch too. but please check back and let us know. when you do check back, it gives us feedback to do a better job with the next problem we face. this forum becomes a two way street, where we help one another mutually. it gives us closure and we sleep better at night. it gives us a response for the wife when they complain about all the time were wasting...lol

A lot of RVers do not check their water levels in their batteries also do you have golf cart 6 volt or a 12 volt. I have found that the 6 volt last longer than the 12 volt. As a retired head electrician at a hospital we had a lot of experience with batteries. and we also found that after 5 years of use it was time to start looking into new batteries.

Minus a switch for the climate control there are pics on another thread that will show you how to disconnect the climate control. The wire to disconnect is inside the frig light. Turbs I that you posted the pics or maybe it was Herk ?
