Refrigerator draws the battery down.

Running on propane my 2 way domect refrigerator 2652 lxb will draw 1.5~2.0 amps per hour to power the fans and circuitry, which will drain/kill a battery in 6 hours, so, how do you dry camp in National parks with limited generator times in AM and PM?

Check you may also have a small heat strip in the door frame to help eliminate condensation. You can disconnect it if you have one and that will help.

Your battery bank has a whole lot more capacity than 12 amp-hours.

We have a Dometic 2652 and it has the unswitched door heater. It would drain the battery overnight.
I unhooked the J2 wire and I no longer have the power drain.
Our previous trailer had the door heater but it had a switch to turn it off.
Apparently Dometic cheaped out on a 50 cent switch.

Hi all, just bought a new GeoPro 19FBS with a RM2551 in it. Since we'll be doing a lot of dry camping I'd like to ensure the 12v "climate control" heater is disconnected. In looking through the wiring diagram in the installation instructions and perusing the operating manual, it would seem this model does not have a 12v heater, only a 120v heater. can anyone confirm I'm deciphering this info correctly? Many thanks!
