Hi everyone,
Posting this in case it might help someone else down the road.
Just dewinterized this weekend as we’re heading to Nashville in a couple weeks and found that our Lippert pull down kitchen faucet would still run slightly after turning it off. I figured a little debris must have got caught in it so I pulled the cartridge, blew it out and cleaned the faucet surface. Put it all back together and it started leaking at the cartridge (handle area) and not matter how much I tightened the retainer it wouldn’t stop.
So I ordered the Lippert replacement cartridge type A off Amazon but based on some of the reviews that even the new Lippert cartridge still leaked I also ordered this aftermarket cartridge https://a.co/d/4lS6Ivo.
Both arrived in one day, installed the Lippert cartridge and sure enough it still leaked. Couldn’t get the retainer even close to tightened down. Pulled it out, put the aftermarket one in, the retainer tightened down like butter and no leaking! Also the original problem of it continuing to run after turning off was eliminated as well.
So maybe this will help someone else who has the Lippert pull down faucet or another model faucet that takes the cartridge type A.
Thanks!
Willie
