Replacing Analog Thermostat on Dometic Furnace

I have a 2018 Coachmen Freelander 20CB with a Dometic propane furnace and the standard analog thermostat for the furnace only.

I purchased the Dometic Standard CT Single Zone digital thermostat to replace it.

When I pulled the old one I found it only has two wires to control the furnace but the digital thermostat has three connections. I tried connecting just two wires (pos and negtive) and the furnace starts, cycles, shuts off and then restarts right away. I get error code E1 as well (Loss of communication)

Can the new digital thermostat be configured for a two wire system? I can't find any diagrams for it and the thermostat only comes with user instructions, not wiring diagrams.

If this one will not work, is there a digital thermostat that will work with the two wire system?

Thanks,
Charlie

I just ordered that one yesterday, thanks.

With further research I found the third wire is listed as "Comms".

I'll return the Dometic CT and use the Honeywell.

I appreciate the response.
