My icemaker would not work in my RM1350 refrigerator this season. I bleed the water lines and it still didn't work. I pulled the icemaker to troubleshoot and discovered the micro switch that controls the water solenoid valve was not working properly. I found the part online, after replacement, icemaker works like a champ once more. Just another FYI for anyone who has the same problem as I did.

I agree! I used a step stool to gain an advantage, then, I had at it with those two long screws:crying:

Ohhh, there are 4 Philip head screws, and an electrical connector. Remove the 2 lower screws (pretty long screws) then loosen up the top 2 screws. Lift up on the icemaker and disconnect the electrical connector. You can then remove the icemaker. After you remove the icemaker, you can remove the side cover, then remove the 3 screws to expose the motor and micro switches. The ice maker solenoid is operated by the lower micro switch. You can ohm out the switch to make sure it is defective. If you get this far and can't find the problem, then you can temporary hook up the electrical connector and jump the micro switch to make sure your water solenoid is allowing water to flow to the ice maker (disconnect the water outlet hose to let the water flow out the access panel). Also make sure your water valve is pushed in under the refrigerator and that you are getting water to the solenoid. I found a used ice maker for parts online along with the micro switch. A new ice maker is about $170.00.

Hope this helps,
Frank
