Our Coach Net roadside assistance plan is coming up for renewal. Thankfully, we haven't needed to use it yet, but I feel more comfortable knowing it's there - just in case.
I'm evaluating whether I should go with Coach Net again, or perhaps switch to Good Sam, and I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience with either of them, and the quality of service they provide.
Thanks.

We have used both AAA RV Plus and Good Sam. Neither has met our expectations 100% --- lonngggggggg waits (hours) for service to show up, sending the wrong equipment (like in our case a flatbed to tow our 37' 5er and 24' F350), etc.

We remain with Good Sam as for us it's the less worse of the options out there and trust me that's not an endorsement.

Just don't have high expectations of any of them.

I used to have a camper/flatbed combination and had it covered with AAA + RV. They left me stranded one day when a quick turnaround on gravel turned bad for me. Luckily there was a nearby farmer that could help, or I would likely still be there. All because I wanted to turn around to help a fellow Jeeper...

We have had coachnet for about 9 years. So far only used it once, but it was a great experience. I do not have experience with the others, so I will not comment on those.

Just used Good Sam 3 weeks ago. I was in Alamogordo, NM with my 33000lb DX3. They sent out a RAM 5500 flat bed for my DX3. The driver said 'no way! The driver's company found a qualified company with the right equipment and sent them to our rig. Good Sam called me and stated that they didn't call the other company and that the tow service was on me. I advised GS that I DID NOT call the other company! After some words they called back and stated that they will cover the tow.

GS did cover the costs. But their phone girls have no idea about this RV equipment. So I'm neutral.

I've had nothing but good experiences when I need coach net. Yes its all dependent on the service provider, your location, and demand but I've been pleased every time. Cheap peace of mind the rest of the time for me.

Not even close, Not to go into a lot of detail Iv'e had both and I'd go with Coachnet When I bought my new Motrhome back in May I signed up With Coachnet and about a month later I dicovered I had a free year with another company so I cancelled Coachnet but as aoon as the year is up I will be back.

My experience with Coach-net has been above expectations. They verified tire size & brand (we had Tire and Wheel coverage also). They called to verify the provider showed at the arranged time. They called back to verify that we received service and was satisfied with everything. A1 customer service IMO.

Thanks for the comments. Looks like we'll renew with Coach Net.

Their Basic plan is $99, and the Premier Coach plan is $169. It looks like the premier plan covers our other vehicles as well as some travel assistance services, concierge services and some discounts. I'm not sure we need that, so will likely go with the basic plan. Has anyone ever used those extended services that come with the Premier Coach plan (beyond other vehicle coverage)?

Yes had good Sam for years had to be towed to a repair shop they were with me all the way by cell phone set me up with a great co. Not only for the tow and repair to the frame on our travel trailer great service go with good Sam steve v..

Good Sams left me hanging on a simple service call in Indianapolis that they dropped the ball on horribly. They never answered any calls later and never decided to answer any of my emails I will not use them ever again. Even sent an email to that presidents email site that he claims he’ll answer and no one ever did. I am currently in the process of moving all my memberships over to Coach Net

RoadSide Assistance Programs

I have only used two roadside assistance programs.
First one was AAA. The service I received the only time calling them was unacceptable.
I changed to Good Sam Roadside and have been with them around 20 years now. I have only had to use them about 6 times, and every time they came through for me. I won't say they were expedient because they were not, I won't say they were perfect. But overall, they took care of me and were able to help me.
Recently, a fellow camper I was traveling with accidentally locked his keys in his TV when stopping for fuel. A call to his Good Sam Roadside assistance and he had the needed help within 20 minutes in a rural area. This was very important as he was blocking the only diesel fuel pump at this Gas Station.
I wish they were faster, I wish they were perfect, but I haven't experienced anyone saying any different company was extremely fast, or perfect. If I find both of those criteria met, I would look to change. Until then, I have been happy. Good luck with your decision.
Happy Camping!

I renewed my Good Sam roadside membership about a month ago. Today I supposedly received my new membership card. It was just a part of a computer generated paper with my card information, but no plastic card! I called and asked about my plastic card and they advised that they do not issue plastic cards anymore. WHAT!! This piece of paper is supposed to survive in my wallet for the next 3 years! I advised that if I had known that I would not have renewed my membership with Good Sam.

So, for what it's worth, I today would have gone with Coach Net.

I have used good sam twice. One time a new tire mounted on the side of the road took about 75 minutes 20 miles from Branson. The other time 6 hours. The guy had the wrong equipment, jack would not fit, guy had no experience. Called his boss after 5 hours and was done 45 minutes later. I would say they are all the same just don't expect them to be super quick.

We have had GS for some time now. What we like about it is that it can be used for any vehicle we own, not just our MH. It has proved useful a few times on a cold winter night in Northern Ontario when my wife has come out and found her car dead. Service was as quick and efficient.

Over the years we needed GS twice and they failed us BOTH times.....the one time the gal on the line didn't even know what a 5th wheel was!

So now we have Coach Net, and haven't had to use it.

That sounds normal for anything Lemonis owns. They never answer emails and phones calls are put on hold until you finally hang up.

I have used AAA RV and CoachNet over the years. AAA was a disaster on several occasions and dropped them for CoachNet. One call to CoachNet for service when the internals failed on class A entry door. Only 2 locksmiths in the county I live in and both refused the call. CN found a locksmith 2 counties away any resolved my issue. They also followed up to make sure the issue was taken care of. CoachNet all the way.
