Can anybody here recommend an insurance company that has a Roadside Assistance policy that will help RV'ers when a tire needs repair or replacement? So far, the only policies I've found offer coverage for changing a tire; however, since few motorhomes in this day and age have a spare tire, that's totally useless to lots of owners.

I'm hoping someone reading this plea for help will be able to direct me to an insurance company that offers such a policy.

I have AAA Premier RV. It's not an automotive insurance. I pay this separately for boat trailer, car and rv Roadside Assistance. It has paid off many times.

Would that cover a tire replacement roadside? I have my RV insured through progressive, but it only covers changing the tire if I already have one. I've had to use it twice.

No, it does not unfortunately. They towed my trailer and boat for free. I was getting charged more than $800 by another tow company. My sister was with me then and I got the free coverage thru her. After the incident I got myself my own coverage!

1. You can buy a steel spare wheel and tire. Murphy's Law seemed to follow me! I have a back up for a back up. Lol.

2. You can go to America's Tire shop. They offer tire hazard insurance(free tire replacements) even if you do not buy your current tires from them. At least you can take the damaged tire back to them for free replacement as you have the time. I believe it also covers you purchasing new tire when you're not within their store locations. You just get reimbursed. Inquire with the store .manager about insurance coverage.
They also offer free tire fix, rotation and balance. I usually give the worker tips.

Check Roamly RV Insurance. They offer tire and wheel insurance as separate cost.

If you have an RV extended warranty, it may cover it.

No spare for the RV? Putting it bluntly, that's idiotic, IMO.
A few hundred bucks for a wheel and a tire is cheap insurance.
Probably less than a year's worth of "insurance" would cost and it would last years.
I wouldn't travel without a spare - - for the RV or the truck.

I don't know of an insurance company that does what you want.

We pay for Coach-Net roadside assistance. They will come, bring a tire or tow you to a nearby facility. They tend to use towing services that use heavy duty trucks.
They also have a Tire and Wheel Hazard protect available.
It's not cheap (around $250 a year for a motorhome) but we consider their services worth the cost.
