Rockwood Murphy Bed mattress thickness

Hello,

We will be picking up a 2024 Rockwood Mini Lite 2517S in about a month.

This model comes with a 60X74 Atlas Black mattress. I am trying to figure out the thickness (depth) of the mattress for ordering sheets.

I contacted Forest River but they were not able to get me the depth, just the length, width, and that it is an Atlas Black. Doing a little digging on the web, I'm not finding any decent information on this mattress but found something suggesting the mattress may be 6.5 inches thick.

Does anyone know depth? Is the mattress spring, or a memory foam, or a gel type?

We have a 2023 2109s non murphy bed camper our camper came with a short queen Atlas Black mattress which is 7” thick. We replaced this mattress with a 10” memory foam almost immediately. Hope this helps you out.

I think I would only buy one set.
Mattress was the first thing I replaced on my camper after two or three nights of use.

I checked our mattress which is still in the plastic in our basement ( so what does that tell you ) this mattress appears to be just a foam mattress, I don’t feel any coils inside and is relatively soft not dense like the memory foam mattress I replaced it with.

"Comfortable" OE mattresses in the RV industry are kind of Unicorns. You hear about them (sometimes) but never get one in your RV.


Gosh, could it be that the comfortable ones cost more?
