Hello all,

So I am in the process of installing starlink 3, and after looking at other options, I am opting for installing it at the most rear portion of the roof, either left or right of the coach. It will be laid flat.

On the 28SS, I want to make a hole inside on the roof inside either of the closet doors, and I would mount the router and power on the rear wall either on top of the bed or inside either closet. Power will come from either power outlet located at each side of the bed.

There is ample space between rear panels and the rear eyebrow, and that’s is what I am aiming. Anyone know if the first truss is right at 16in from the back wall, and if is there anything in between? I would think those corners are areas with less wires passing through in comparison to other areas of the coach.

I browsed pics during the building process, but it seems like the roof is picture shy… please share anything hat might help. Thank you!

Or has anyone drilled a hole in the roof where the 4x4 Matrix is located? Top of of the microwave on a 28ss.

Yes, about an 1-1/2 inch hole drops straight down into the cabinet. No obstructions or wires. I put a junction box over the hole with VHB tape and dicor. The hole is slightly forward of center and about 5 inches inset from the edge of the roof curve (or about 3 inches from the wall inside the cabinet). I run the Parsec Husky Cable bundle and Starlink cable into the box and down into the cabinet where they connect to my Peplink Modem/Router.

Excellent! Thank you for sharing. I am siding on installing it at this location. I have a good idea where the hole you described is, but do you mind sending a picture?

Inside entry and outside junction box location photos attached. Hope that helps.
