A few years ago the small sliding panel on the side entry screen door of our DX3 started turning yellow and a couple years it started cracking. A piece finally broke off so it was time to replace it. I looked on Amazon for a replacement and most of the reviews contained the words 'thin' & 'feels cheap'. I took it out and it cracked some more. I laid it on the picnic table & the wind blew it onto the concrete pad & it shattered into over 12 pieces. The stationary panel still looks good.

I made a replacement from a piece of .07" thick plastic that's smooth on one side & a pebble texture on the other side. I was able to notch & bend 2 'wings' outward to clear the entry door handle & then mounted a wooden handle on it that covers the opening. It looks reasonable & hopefully it will last a number of years.
