The door closures on both sides of the sewer line carrier under my GeoPro G19FD have broker and nearly fell off. The tube assembly is made by Dwincorp and apparently is the Super Tube model. Has anyone found a fix for this issue?

Thanks for your help.

Not sure how much top clearance you have, but you may be able to drill holes at 2 oclock to 7 oclock then run a piece of heavy wire thru the holes. Will keep the hose in. Down side is it makes for a nice wasp home.

Looks like both the tube and the door have plastic pieces missing. Those are molded components. I would examine further with the idea of putting a metal strap hinge in place. It will require some removal of the remaining plastic area where the original hinge was located. Other than that, drill a couple of holed in the tube and the door and use a couple zip ties to form a hinge.

And of course, finally, just replace the entire tube assembly. But nothing to assure the hinges on the new one won't break either. You have the companies 800 number as printed on the cap, call and see what they suggest.

Depending upon the answer you receive after calling the manufacturer, it may be less expensive to go with an alternative sewer hose storage tube. I use this one mounted on top of the rear bumper, held in place with some 5" U bolts (4" are not wide enough). I store two 10' RhinoFlex slinkies in mine, one with the sewer hose adapter attached to the slinky.

Since the original tube is held in place with plumber hanger strap, get a length of 5" or 6" dia PVC and cleanout caps and make your own. Available at your big box hardware store.

Bobs got the right stuff

trim a little off the end take it to the store and you should be able to find enough pieces to glue or clamp on a repair piece

Sharp eye on the photo Bob. Actually I added the plumbing hanger strap when the plastic mounting ear cracked.

There is actually a company that carries replacement end cap assemblies and a whole bunch of other accessories that I had never heard of. This link is worth looking at even if you don't need the part that I do. RV Replacement End Caps for 4 5/8" Sewer Hose Holder, Black or White

I decided to just drill-and-pin for now. May do more later. Thanks for your help. We're good for now.

This happened to me while driving off-road here by Zion NP. We lost our sewer hose. I ended up just using zip ties on one end and small bungee strap on the other. But I wanted to find a better solution and was wondering what kind of pin or wire would fit if I drilled a hole.

I just drilled 1 small hole at 2:00 and one at 8:00 on the outer edge of the tube and cut a length of clothes hanger wire to reach through the tube opening with about 1 inch extra on each end. Using a moderate diameter wire will make it easier to bend one end to pull it out for hose removal but it needs to be heavy enough to stay in place as well.

I'll try to attach a pic tomorrow.

Here are the pics. One from each side. I may try to find a way to re-attach the broken door a little later on.

I used vinyl fence post and 2 caps. Works great. Hold cap on with a long SS screw and a wingnut. Other cap glued.
