Not so relevant background
Recently had to track down a weird smell coming from the front storage of the trailer. At first we thought it was sewer related, but that didn't make sense given the location. Next thought was a dead critter in the compartment, so started removing everything. Got to the battery are and almost burnt my hand on the battery box! Removed the box cover and could see steam venting from the filler plugs. Source of smell found. Checked both batteries, one totally dead and the other not far behind it!

As we no longer travel with the rig, and it is always plugged into shore power, I decided to replace two batteries with just one. The new battery would be charged by solar, and only connected to the fridge inverter in case of shore power failure. I modified the connections to meet this need.

Finally the question!
After modifying the wiring, I had a spare wire left!!! It is primrose (not bright) yellow It has a ring connector on the end. It came fro one of 3 places. Ground (unlikely) thermal breaker from charger or thermal breaker from the solar controller. All of which are mounted on the rear bulkhead of the front compartment. The wire goes off to the right (as you look at the bulkhead) joins a bunch in some flexible conduit, goes through the side wall into the LPF storage and then up through the top of the LPG storage into RV near the sofa slider. Everything appears to work, so that doesn't help! If any none has a 37FLH and can find the wire, could you let me know what it is connected to!!!

Thanks
Barry

Barry you should post in the Sabre area with a better title i.e. "help me find this wire in my 37FLH" or some such. GOOD GRIEF we are in the Sabre section, sorry!

Oh well, I "bumped" your question anyway.

You had me worried there, I knew my mind told me to put it in the Sabre section, but my fingers don't always obey my mind! For once my fingers listened.

take a picture of your battery setup and wiring
makes it easier to work out what you did

If there was 2 batteries ... now there is ONE
you should have some wire left over , look around there may just be a second one

does your 12v stuff work , did you measure the voltage after battery install

OK, problem solved. Aussieguy, obviously I had some wires left over, the 2 Gauge black and red connecting the two batteries in parallel. Everything I could test worked just fine. The pale yellow wire that I couldn't find a home for was either 12 or 14 gauge with a small ring connector on the end. I tried further tracing of the wire and found it in the junction box near the 5th wheel pin. A look inside the junction box showed that it connected to the break-away switch. This meant that the other end connected to a 12v feed direct from the battery.
