Slide issue, Slide not working, Isata (Dynamax)

Early on there was an ignition lockout (chassis OFF) instead of an E-brake lock out. I think a couple of people on here have changed theirs in the Battery Control Center to be a "E-brake lock out" instead.

Guilty, and thanks again for the diagram :)

2018 Isata 5 36DS Slides Not Operating

After trying the suggested reset button on the back of the plate on one of the slides, it is still not operating, however the code is now flashing between one green and one red, the side that I did not try to reset is flashing one green and four red. Any suggestions?

One red-one green per the manual is "slide stops not set". So at some point they were lost....or reset. I am just wrapping up a video on this, but the instructions are in the manual.

As for the one red-four green. I would try resetting that one as well, as per my instructions in the beginning, low voltage can trigger other faults. Once you have full power, the reset should clear it.

Thanks Bryan,

I will give it a try, which manual are these instruction in? I have gone through every piece of paper given to me and the CD and have not found these. The batteries are fully charged, connected to shore power, engine and generator both running, I even warmed the coach to 70 degrees with the furnace. The chassis did have a bad alternator that drained the chassis batteries and had to be serviced at the RAM dealer, but the coach batteries have never lost power. I will try once again to reset them. Thanks again.

This is one that LCI sent me a few months back that I posted on this site.

The manuals themselves we put on the flash drive, but I am constantly trying to update those when we get better information. So I may stop the physical flash drive and start forcing people to use the online version. That way we KNOW that everyone has the most up to date information.

Thanks again, I like the flash drive since internet service can get difficult on the road. I will try once again next weekend and hopefully we will get them reset properly. When the first one did not clear I didn't want to go any further.

Brian,

when setting the stop/clear fault you press Motor 1 and 2 buttons and retract then press the stop/clear fault. It say to repeat line 3 and 4 but pressing the out button. Question, do you press motor 1 and 2 for both in and out or do you press motor 3 and 4 for the out function?

Always one and two as there are only two motors on a slide. They give you 3-4 in case there is a 4 motor slide.

All you're doing is "Manually" operating the slide. So by pressing motor 1 and motor two, you are activating them. Then pressing IN or OUT you are powering them. If you only press motor one, only motor 1 will move. Only do that if you need to tweak an adjustment or make sure it is sealing the same distance on both sides.

Brian,

Thanks for all the help, the third attempt did the job and both slides are programmed and functional. again. Personally it was a good experience since the info I had lacked the reset procedures and had I been on the road I could have easily panicked. At least I now have the experience and information should it happen again.

Regards,

Brian, I just saw the video on the Dynamax Facebook page. It was great and very informative. I realized that I was doing a couple of things wrong when trying to re-set. Hopefully it will be on the forum soon

Awesome Video on troubleshooting and programming the slide controls Brian. I was hoping to see some video on access to motors and manual cranking the slide in with a dead motor etc. Probably too difficult to produce something like that though. Thanks for all your efforts to help all of us.

I already posted it on its own thread....but because this is a sticky, I guess it would be a good idea to post here as well.

That would be great! I guess lots of people have slide confusion issues!

With all the videos and plans to make more you may want to start a YouTube channel. Be a lot easier to go back and find videos later than facebook and will give one central location to peruse them.

Let me know if you want a hand

From the outside looking in (I own SO:cool:, I agree- Youtube is the way to go for how-to videos.
