Slide issue, Slide not working, Isata (Dynamax)

With all the videos and plans to make more you may want to start a YouTube channel. Be a lot easier to go back and find videos later than facebook and will give one central location to peruse them.

Let me know if you want a hand

You mean like this?

ForestRiverInc

We have one...corporate runs it,

I actually like this link better-- ForestRiverInc
The difference is when I visited your link I saw a jumble of brand videos.
The link above is categorized and I easily scrolled down and found the Dynamax specific videos.

Just to clarify...whenever we post a video we post them in most all locations.
1. Youtube is the main spot
2. Facebook
3. Dynamax web site Videos by Dynamax
4. Online owners manuals (these might take a little longer to post and we might only post the technical stuff and troubleshooting)

Now that was a good video!!! I finally understand, and hope I never have slide issues and have to watch that video again.

Slide Issue I5 30FW

Does anyone have an issue with the rear motor lagging behind the front when bringing in the slide? My dealer could not resolve this after trying for two days and ended up only damaging my flooring. (Will not be going back to my selling dealer due to this and other reasons) I went into program mode to realign the rear portion of the slide with button 1 and then the holding down button 1 and 2 to move the slide in and out, in which it works fine as a work around. Not ideal, though. When using program mode, the slide stays even every time. After setting the stops successfully and using the slide control panel normally, the rear section goes wonky once again. I am now using program mode only.

I also have a huge gap under the bed in the slide, see pics. I am wondering if this is part of the issue with the bedroom portion of the slide lagging behind. One of the nylon rollers under the bed portion of the slide is not even touching the slide unit, so all the weight is on the far roller. It seems to be causing the rear motor to have a tougher time and moves slower than the front motor.

Does anyone else have this large gap that lets in massive cold air and diesel fumes if the gen is on?

Thanks,

Jay

Slide Issue I5 30FW Resolved

After my dealer tried for two days to repair my slide and only managed to damage my floor, I was able to troubleshoot the problem and repair myself.

Rear motor had the green wire pulled out of the molex plug. I assume this is the sync wire, since the rear motor was not moving at the same speed as the front when bringing in the slide.

Once repaired, the slide works flawlessly. I also sprayed some dry slide lube on the rubber seals and it is very quiet now.

If anyone has a motor that is slower than the other but still works in program mode, check your wiring connectors at the motor.

I still have a massive air gap under the bed and will brain storm on that next.

There is good information here on the slide controller that I learned on my own after having mine go into alarms several times. The slide damaged the flooring and after taking it in for warranty work it was discovered one of the rollers was never installed at the factory, causing damage to the flooring and bending other components. Brand new Isata 3 sitting in service for over 3 months and no parts. Not a happy camper

Shoot me the last 8 of your VIN and I will take a look. There is NOTHING here that takes 3 months to get parts. I hear that all the time and when we look into, the dealer either didn't order the parts, it wasn't actually that long, they ordered the wrong parts....and on occasion, we're not perfect, we have shipped the wrong part. But even then, if its our mistake we try and overnight to make up for it.

The Vin is H9708950. I just received an e-mail from Daneille this morning saying the rest of the parts should arrive today. Daneille has been great, she is the only person that ever gets back to me for an update. When I spoke to her 5 or 6 weeks ago she could not see the order from SeeGrins and said it was probably with Warranty awaiting approval. My hope is it will arrive today and the job will be completed. It took a long time to get the flooring, then installing the flooring they found out a roller was not installed. To me, a new coach with should obvious flaws making it unusable should have an expedite process for repairs.

Our warranty approvals typically happen within 24 hours, unless the dealer is asking for an unreasonable amount of time.

I agree a new coach with issues should be expedited and my guys have instructions to do just that when a coach is unusable.

This particular dealership has changed hands recently, so that might explain some of that. We have also parted ways with this location, so once these repairs are done, we will refer you to a different location in your area for any future work.

Thank you, I would never take my RV back to SeeGrins for any kind of work. We took the motorhome by for an inspection for warranty work to be done. That way, we were suppose to drop off the motorhome after parts had arrived. When we went back to drop it off, he had not ordered the flooring although that was the main reason we brought it in. Weeks later the flooring arrives and is damaged and has to reorder. I have a hard time believing anything SeeGrins tells me.

We have tried to reset the stops, but in the owners manual it says to extend the slideout, to re set stops and we are unable to do that. Are we missing something?

I'm not sure how your slides are set up as this is a Dynamax specific thread...but if you'd like to watch the video we made on the slide outs, resetting the slide stops involves setting the "IN" stop first. That seems to be what confuses a lot of people, it will not go out until you set the "in" stop.

Thanks!

Oh my! You are all so amazing! We got the slide working. We still aren't able to get the overhead bed down? Any more suggestions? I'm assuming this is all related. Everything else (outlets, lights, microwave) is working.

We don't do an overhead head like they do. Is it gear mounted (like like the same track as the slide out?). They also do a magnetic one...you have to pull pretty hard to release it from the magnets. You might want to try posting this in the Georgetown forum.

Slide dragging on trim

i purchased 2018 Isata 4 25 FW recently (original owner passed away). The slide drags on the plastic trim that is on the step up from living to bedroom area. It has caused screws to pop out. Do I need to take it to a shop to have slide adjusted?
