I have a 2006 Forest River Charleston diesel pusher. My main living room slide doesn’t stay closed completely. The locks on top hold it in place but the bottom pulls away from a limiter switch which causes it to not work. The slide pulls away about 2 inches just enough for that limit switch to open. This happens once I close the slide and it’s been sitting for a few hours. Does anybody have this issue and if so, what can be done to correct it?

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the Motorhome section's Charleston sub-forum for better help from other Motorhome owners and possible factory support.

Sounds like the hydraulic cylinder is bypassing and letting the slide room "creep" out. There should be a little valve on the side of the hydraulic cylinder; that is called the anti-creep valve. You can also try bleeding the air from the system here is how to do so below.
-Make sure the pump reservoir is filled with hydraulic fluid. There is a fill line on the reservoir.
- Using either the manual buttons or the All Retract button on the Control Panel, fully retract all of the jacks.
-Re-check the fluid level (add as necessary.)
-Using the manual buttons on the Control Panel, fully extend all jacks to their maximum extension. This will require alternating between the front two jacks and the rear two jacks – the cross frame twist limiter in the Control Panel will not allow you to fully extend one jack at a time.
-Keep the jacks extended for at least 15 minutes.
- Again, fully retract the jacks.
-Re-check the fluid level (add as necessary).

This^^^^
keep it topped up
run all the hydraulics several times to work out any air that may be trapped

If it KEEPS creeping out and you constantly lose oil..... seals/o rings may need replacing
consult owners manual on best way to check fluid levels

Edit... if you see a image below No idea why it attached to this message
Ignore it

Thank you for the info and I’ll keep you posted if your remedy works.
