Slider Tips Out!

Hi guys I have a 23 Brookstone 398mbl. Every time I go around a left-hand turn the big kitchen slide tips out at least a foot or two. I went back to the dealer and had them check everything over. Their response was everything was within spec so they will have to get with Forest River for a solution. Forest Rivers solution is to give me a set of manual slide locks. I paid over 80k for this fifth wheel and am a little upset (to put it mildly) over this situation! Am I overreacting or is this really "industry standard" as Forest Rivers GM is stating to me?

The older units had a guard (stick) that you put on top of the slide when closed to keep the slide closed while driving.

That is totally not normal. We have a chaparral 360ibl which is a similar config.

The dinette slide should not budge when retracted. The through-frame slide mechanism holds the bottom of the slide tight to the wall. If the opening at the top is sized correctly the slide could possibly move 1/2” out at the top(wild guess based on the opening in the wall) but it would take a lot of force to make the heavy slide room “tip” outward.

Something is not right with either:
1-slide mechanism
2-the floor flange that the slide rides on
3-the wall opening vs slide box fit spacing is too big

Call the manufacturer of the slide mechanism direct and see what they say. I quit dealing with my dealer on problems three months after we bought the trailer. Their customer service after the sale was awful. I have dealt direct with manufacturers of both the trailer (East to West) and the components (Furrion and Dometic) with very good results.

I have a large slide out in my 2017 toy hauler and never had this issue. They are handing you a line of **** just to get you off the phone.
