Sliding door

Hello All:
I have a 2002 Forest River Wildwood 37BHSS set up permanent in a campground. It has a 6'-0 wide sliding "exterior" door that is our main entrance. Only one half of the door unit slides, the other side is fixed glass.
Has anyone replaced one of these type doors on their travel trailer and put in a standard swinging type door ?? The sliding door works fine, but it's heavy and my granddaughters have a tough time opening the door. Would like to pull it out and put in a regular swinging type exterior house door. Just curious if anyone has tried this and how did they accomplish it ?
Thanks

I have not heard of anyone doing this have you tired to adjust the rollers so the door operates more freely?

I would think that it would be pretty easy to replace the sliding door with a set of french doors. Double check the height to make sure it's the standard 6-8 height door. You can order custom sized doors, but they get pretty expensive if you have to.

The jamb with will probably be wider than the current door, but you can shim the wall to fill the space and get some matching trim to cover the shims.
