Soon to be Snowbirds

Wife and I both are getting ready to retire. Looking for suggestions on reasonable campgrounds for the months of January and February starting next winter. We have a 30' travel trailer and looking somewhere close to the ocean anywhere from South Carolina to the pan handle of Florida. Thanks!!

National parks have some nice spots in the panhandle
just can't think of their names right now but they are easy enough to find in the park's websites.


Some good North Florida state parks as well
less than 1.5 -2 hour drive from Georgia border

I am asking this from a position of ignorance, but isn't it pretty cold in SC, even on the coast, in Winter? Also, what is the stay limitation at State Parks in the Winter time?

It can be cold in SC in Jan/Feb. We have spent the past 7 years in SC & GA from 1 Nov - 31 May. We've encountered snow once and below 32 deg temps occasionally. For the most part it is usually 40 - 70 deg.
Stay limits in SC/GA SPs is 14 days.

Thanks again for all the suggestions. As for your question Reverse Snowbird, It wouldn't bother me if we had to change once or maybe twice.
