I picked up a 2020 Force HD 34kd the other day and have a question. When I turn the bedroom thermostat to furnace it turns on the living room furnace and when I turn the living room thermostat to furnace it turns on the bedroom furnace. The AC works as it should. I cant think of a reason the furnace should do that but I figured I would ask here.

There is a small "cone looking" thing above the living room thermostat that looks like a temperature sensor or something. Not sure.

The cone is a temp sensor.

I have to check...but as I recall, the 34KD only has ONE furnace. The 37BH is the only one with two furnaces.

So, are you referring to the "heat pumps" or the actual furnace???

It definitely has 2 furnaces. 1 under the fridge and 1 under the washer dryer stack. They both work great but with seemingly the wrong thermostat.

A Cozy is the heat exchanger used by Aqua-hot. one is under the Washer/Dryer stack and the other under the fridge. On mine it had the same symptoms as yours and I reversed the fan wires for the Cozy's.

X2 This is the same problem mine had too. The wiring that you have to swap is on the AquaHot control board, which on my 37TS is mounted on the wall in the AquaHot bay to the right of the actual AquaHot unit.

You have to check 2 things: 1-Is the wiring that controls the heat exchanger fan (these are clearly reversed on yours. 2-Is the circulation pump wiring since there is a dedicated pump for each heat exchanger.

If you swap the zone 1 (living room) fan wires to zone 2 (bedroom) and move the zone 2 wires to zone 1 the heat exchanger fans should then come on with the correct thermostat. But you need to make sure they are also blowing noticeably hot air. If not, the pumps are also mis-wired. The easiest way to fix that is unplug and swap the connectors right at the pumps.

Just to clarify guys...he has Force HD, not a DX3. So LP furnace (2 20k btu furnaces to be exact). No Aqua-Hot...as the OP has correctly stated.

Thanks. My confusion was that I thought that only the 37BH had the dual furnaces. The OP has a 34KD. But I am getting slower in my Old Age.;) Oh well.

This was from engineering this morning...

"There is a 9 position plug located below the left rear drawer (see attached print) that the two furnace triggers pass through. Just need to swap them. For some reason the harness shop uses the same color wire for both (they are both furnace triggers), but normally tape them to differentiate."

Thanks, Mr. Clemons. Ill check it out this afternoon and let you know how is goes.

I really appreciate you getting back with me so quickly. The RV is amazing by the way.

Glad you are liking it. I spent a week in the 34KD...enjoyed the trip and liked the layout.
