This newbie needs a little help - roof damage

Hello all. Just made the move from tent camping to our new Rockwood 1910 ESP pop up camper.

I’m new to this forum obviously. We are on our 3rd trip sense buying the camper. Yesterday will at the camp ground a giant tree limb fell and ripped through fabric on one pull out side and cracked the top just a bit.

Anyone have experience of something like this happening. Thank God we were all safe. But not I have a real issue on my hands .

Any suggestions would be helpful. Is this something the campground insurance will cover?

In you other post, I asked if you had insurance on your camper. If you do, reporting it to your insurance would be the first step.

Probably should talk to your insurance agent. Take plenty of pictures. The limb does look dead and rotten.

The awning is probably easily replaceable.
The roof is another matter. Repairing them can get very expensive and you don't know if there has been sidewall damage. That looks like a heavy tree limb. I'd take pictures from the front, rear and both sides as well as from the top, if possible.

Also use your smartphone to make a video covering 360 degrees. That will give context to pictures. Be sure to show tree and as much of campsite as possible. When dealing with insurance adjusters there's rarely anything like too much documentation.
