OPTRONICS ACP7 7-Way Round Trailer Harness Plug Protector. (Can't get link to work but description is copied from Amazon)

Made from a semi-flexible material and includes mounting screws. I installed on side of propane tank cover, mounted high where they are well away from tank and hose.

Easy to use and no more lying on ground or fussing with lifting tank cover enough to stick it underneath between tanks. Unplug, push Plug into Protector where retainer grabs it immediately. Retainer can be easily released with thumb then Plug into vehicle.

Best $10 I've spent lately:cool:

I take the tank cover off, hang the wire over the top of the tank hold-down bar, and put the cover back on $0

I replaced my tongue jack a while back, a similar plug holder was included with the Husky Brute jack. I used a couple of wire ties and attached it to the jack tube.

Looks like the same cover. It just lifts off, there are no restraints on it

Mine has a "rebate" at the bottom that's supposed to keep cover from lifting in truck's slipstream. Makes it somewhat difficult to lift.

Also, I probably hitch/unhitch a lot more than the average. So far this year I've "camped" close to 180 days with longest single stay in one place less than two weeks. Next year will be even more.

We have the same bracket Aussieguy showed. It was installed on the A-frame by the manufacturer. It works really well for us, especially the loops to hold the safety chains.

Silly me. For all these years I’ve just hung mine over the frame face down. I don’t allow it to contact the ground. I’ve never had problems but I’m sure I will now that y’all’ve shown me this.

X2^^^^^

Just picture the average RV today without the "novelties" inside and out:D

oooooo the memories
no waste tanks ...bucket under sink (outside)
whole campground smelled like dish water

NO POTTY.... had to use a night bowl or freeze if you had to "GO" in winter

NO heaters/furnace or any insulation (icebox)

tiny little fridge

Lived in a tiny 16 footer while waiting for the house

Same here, although I can appreciate the tidiness of an actual hanger.

BTW
just found a old bottle of Turtle wax TRIM restorer in my garage...

made my gas tank cover and plastic jack head ...... look like new again.

I mean you got nice new 7 pin cover ... you gotta make the rest of the front section match it !

Underneath the jack cover there is a brand new 5000# tongue jack that came from the factory with the ability to rotate it 90 degrees so I can lower my Ford tailgate while hitched.

No need to restore it's finish. Propane tank cover just needs to be washed like rest of trailer.

BUT BUT the turtle stuff is also suppose to be a UV blocker
could not stand the cover being a dull chalky gray any longer
I did washed it and it was still yukky

decided that while at home in storage mode will use the BBQ vinyl cover
I never use for the BBQ anyways.

If that propane cover ever cracks or goes brittle etc which happens a lot here in the sunshine state ... I'll just toss it!
