Tried to buy a 5er today, no go

x2 :) Chances are good! We are heading up to TN where we go to see fall colors in the Smokies, mid-late October. A week in Cosby, not too far from you, and then a week in Townsend TN where we go most every year. Fingers crossed for great color but awesome time regardless.

Been to tri-City TN years ago for 9 months for work beautiful place but never this part of TN. Meeting friends coming up from southern Alabama who has been going there end of every October for years who tell me its the place to go. We'll make stops on the way up to Sevierville TN stay a week then come down thru the Carrabella Florida on our way home as we're coming from Port Charlotte, Florida. Been taking some shorter trips with the new to me DP this will be the longest. Hope others can get out and enjoy some more camping into the cooler fall weather.

Saw two colors down at our cabin in MO. Brown corn and Yellow Soy Beans. :D

Dealers always prefer finance deals because the make more money. I recently bought a Rockwood Roo. I wanted to pay cash but the dealer really pushed the financing. He asked me why I wanted to spend my money on a depreciating asset. I told him I didn’t want to pay an extra 12K in interest especially on a depreciating asset. That shut him up.

They had 48 trailers that were sold, paperwork signed and waiting on prep for PDI. Cash vs. finance didn't matter to them, it seems. They get the same amount either way.

Actually, cash isn't king anymore. Dealers make quite a bit for arranging the financing.

Couch's Gladly took our certified check for the full amount when we bought our 2019 Signature 5ver....no discussion about financing.

We bought en-route one time...

In 2010 we decided to stop and look at a 5er we were interested in (on our way to the Bristol, TN race). We had a TT at the time, decided to buy the 5er and they helped us get the hitch changed out, let us switch stuff over in the parking lot, and off we went. We had left early for our trip, so we have a few days to sort out stuff at the Cumberland Gap N.P., and then we went on to Bristol. That was the fastest we ever purchased and were glad we could take it with us. :)
